Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

IndiaCute family run place. Luca was very friendly and approachable. Delicious breakfast by his mom and always helpful dad. Felt exactly like home 🏠 Luca even suggested us best local places to eat and recommended bike ride from Levanto to Bonssola. Great place to stay.

GermanyMosquito-nets on windows would be great, since we couldn't open the windows at night.
Very nice room with well equipped kitchen. The apartmen is a bit far from the beach to walk, but we got free bikes from Lucas father. It was just perfect and solved all the transport questions. Parking is not a problem - we could leave a car in the parking nearby. Luca is very hospitable and helpful, thank you very much!

LuxembourgNothing I could think of.
A very pleasant family run (2nd generation) b&b well situated in Levanto. 500 mtrs from the train station, an ideal position to explore the Cinque Terre region (reachable only by train). Luca the host is a very kind person who cares for his guests and does everything to make them happy, giving them many tips and information. His mother prepared every morning scrambled eggs for us. The room is situated in their house and is big, bright and very clean. Same goes for the bathroom. The breakfast was served either in the semi closed, heated veranda (when it wasn't too cold for us, still mid April with a rather chilly weather in the mornings) or in the kitchen which is very cosy. The breakfast was very rich and varied, a special note given to their fresh crispy bread, a real feast for bread lovers like me. A free public parking is available right across the street, a big plus for those coming

Wonderful hosts, like staying with family friends. Tastefully decorated room, with own entrance. Copious breakfast with a different home-made cake each day.

IrelandThe walk to and from the town can be tiresome if you are also hiking during your trip. Bikes were offered to us throughout our stay though which was great.
Luca and his parents were so attentive and helpful throughout our trip! The room met all of our needs and was comfortable and spacious for those rainy days in Levanto. Breakfast was great and Luca was flexible with breakfast times and check-in/check-out.

PolandAbsolutely everything was amazing! Luca is the best host I have ever had. Everyday he was preparing super tasty breakfast for us. He is a very kind person, always smiling. Each day we were able to use the bikes to go to a very charming beach (Luca’s recommendation) in Bonassola. The location is perfect- 6 min from the train station and 15 min to the beach in Levanto (by walking). The room was quite spacious and very clean. We loved our stay!

IrelandStaying here made our holiday in Cinque Terre! It was in a great location- 5 minute walk from the train and 15/20 minute walk to town centre. They provided us with a bike each which we used to get everywhere. Luca and his parents were so welcoming and hospitable for our whole stay- providing a lovely breakfast in the morning and recommendations for what to do while in Levanto and Cinque Terre. I would absolutely recommend for anyone to stay in this accommodation- it's homely and comfortable and they make you feel so welcome.

ItalyUnfortunately, there is no Air conditioning, but it was not a big issue for us. At least, there was a fan. The owner promised to install AC next year.
The room is cleaned every day. The owner of the B&B was extremely hospitable. You may use free bikes to go around the city. 15 minutes on foot or 2 minutes by bike to the beach, 5 minutes on foot from RW station. There was a good free breakfast.
