How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

Verified reviewIf you are looking for a unique place, not far from cities like Venice, Padua, or Chioggia, and you want a very relaxed atmosphere in a beautiful setting with a swimming pool and hottub, a spacious garden, and views of the vineyards, then this is the right place for you. Having your own transport is recommended. We were welcomed by the son of the family, and we immediately felt the genuine warmth that the hosts radiate. They are truly hospitable in every sense of the word and were always ready to give tips for excursions or simply have a nice chat during breakfast. Very pleasant and sincerely friendly people! We enjoyed every second of our week stay here and will definitely come back! The apartment had all the comfort we needed: good beds, a beautiful bathroom, and air conditioning. We didn’t use the kitchen, but everything you might need was there. Be sure to try their wine and Prosecco! A top stay! The photos of this place are beautiful... Believe me, in reality it’s even better!

Verified reviewThe swimming pool was amazing, jacuzzi was good, the garden was beautiful, the breakfast was the basics but was tasty, the rooms were big, the whole area was green and had plenty of plants and quite.
The air condition was really weak, during the night was 27-29 grad warm, basic breakfast, there is no shop or something in the area, to buy a coffee or something to eat, plenty of mosquitoes and bugs during the night, starting at 19:00 o clock and last you can hear everything from the other rooms even when they’re talking very quietly.

As for the soundproofing, it’s true that some noise can be heard. However, since the building is a historic property, we’ve done everything reasonably possible to improve insulation. That said, it also depends on the behavior of some guests — unfortunately, not everyone is respectful, and some children start running and shouting as early as 6:00 in the morning. Regarding amenities, there is a supermarket just 2 km away and two cafés 900 meters from the property. Please remember: if you need anything or have questions during your stay, don’t hesitate to ask while you're here — not after you've left. Thank you again.

Verified reviewBest hospitality we have ever had! Warm and loving environment. We felt right at home. They cooked us eggs, sausages, and bacon for a very nice breakfast! Great assortment of cold meats, mixed fruits, bread, pastries, cakes. Coffee, tea, juice, yogurt. They warmed up the jacuzzi for us each night. Great spot under the stars. Especially to enjoy their prosecco! Pinot grigio is good, too. Great recommendations on local restaurants. First time I've ever had horse meat and you have to try it! Sooooooo good. Trattoria Al Cavallino - Conche. If we ever come back to the area, we will not look anywhere else to stay. These folks are down-to-earth, wonderful folks!

Air-conditioning did not work properly upstairs and was too hot to sleep. Bad water leak in ceiling of other bedroom.
Good morning, the reviews are important to us but it is even more important in our opinion to satisfy the customer. In this case they arrived two hours after the limit of the check-in and we received them without any problem and without additional costs. On his arrival he booked breakfast for all the guests which, as he knew, was not included in the booking (h he arrived at night). In the morning he showed up alone to have breakfast and despite having brought something to his room for his family, we made him pay only for one person. We also had to ask them for the money because they were leaving without paying. This is a situation that never happened to me with booking.com customers, as the conditions are clear and precise: I guarantee you that these are the situations that make us uncomfortable. Regarding your negative observations I can tell you that the water entered through the velux air intake which was open, most likely due to the exceptional precipitation that happened to fall in the night. About the air conditioning, which is a strong feature for our property and so appreciated by guests, we found the electronic thermostat in hot air mode, and consequently could not work. I understand that you cannot know how to use the regulator, but I don't understand why he didn't communicate it to us immediately since me or some of my family members are present 24 hours a day, just to satisfy any request of the customer. You see, for us, being a small family-run business, customer satisfaction is the fundamental thing that helps us to improve more and more, but it becomes impossible to do so when a customer does not communicate anything. It is even worse when he uses inconveniences, which can normally happen and which are due to incapacities of the guests as well, to make a review that does not reflect the reality of the facts and goes to ruin a respectable reputation that we have earned in nine years of activity, of my and my family's commitment and sacrifice. I wish you a good day and a good stay in Italy; I only ask you to ponder and make the right assessments before expressing a judgment that can be disrespectful of people's work and commitment.
