The efficiency of the air conditioning system could have been better. Also the shower facility was very cramped.

The breakfast was excellent and the ability to enjoy it on the terrace was very relaxing. The views from our balcony were very nice and w enjoyed sitting out there enjoying a glass of wine in the afternoons.

Breakfast could have been a little better, particularly the coffee

The friendly woman at the front desk when we arrived after a long day of traveling was extremely welcoming and went above and beyond for us! We arrived late and didn’t have a rental car to leave and find a restaurant back down the mountain and so she offered to make us a plate of meats and cheeses with some local wine- it was PERFECT!

Air conditioning was locked on hot by the central control and we were not allowed to change the temperature - OK in winter but when its 25 degrees outside and the AC is pushing 27 degrees in the room = Too hot to sleep properly.

The staff were great, very helpful and multilingual. Room was one of the cleanest we have stayed in.

Wished that the swimming pool had been open!

Spacious room... even with four of us (2 adults, 2 children) in a room we did not feel cramped. Breakfast was fresh, varied and plentiful. Setting is quiet, about 20-30 minutes walk from town centre (shuttle bus available for nominal fee).

Al Terre di Mare is exquisite in every way. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and the decor is tasteful and of high quality. Breakfast was sumptuous. Transportation is available to the boat or train station for visiting the Cinque Terre. Views are magnificent. The staff is extra friendly and informative. We also enjoyed the town of Levanto - moreso than the 5 towns of the Cinque Terre.

Hot food for breakfast was only lukewarm scrambled eggs and overcooked bacon slices. Boiled eggs were OK. No toaster. Hot water for sink and shower in the room not hot enough. Shuttle service could be more flexible.

The only thing : you have to understand that the air conditionning works only when all doors and windows are closed (including the small window in the bathroom. No restart automatic. So if you want the airconditionning to start one hour before going back to the room you have to ask the reception and make sure before that you have closed all windows!

Excellent situation to visit the Cinque Terre. Hotel is very quiet in middle of the olive trees. Nice views on the valley. Il like the swimming pool too. Staff is nice and delivered good indications to organize the rvisit of the Cinque Terre and find good restaurants in the city. Breakfast buffet is perfect.

It takes a while to get to the hotel from the beach or train station (and up the hill). The hotel provides guests with one free transfer (to and fro) per day; then you pay $5 per person one way.

The parking space is a little tiny, especially for larger cars. No possibility to charge EV although there are 'red' and 'blue' outlets in the garage, not even simple 220-16a-4kw can be used for charging.

The lady at the pool, providing chairs before you ask and keeping it very clean! The pool, is great due to a magnificent view over the Valley. Also the terrace overlooking the sea (at quit some distance) is marvelous. The terrace for breakfast is a dream. Very large room, more a studio, with private entrance. A/C is master controlled (can't change the temperature in the room) unless you call the front desk and ask it to be put on manual control. Don't be shy-- call the front desk regardless the time of night because they are available 24/7.

The road up to the property is steep and not brilliantly signposted but once there the shuttle service means that this is not an issue. While not applicable in my case, I would suggest this hotel is not particularly suitable for anyone wheelchair dependent.

Situated outside the town up in the hills, this hotel is a quiet & relaxing venue in peaceful surroundings. The 'street' like access to the rooms and individual outside seating areas adds an individual touch. The staff couldn't be more helpful and amenable and help engender a very friendly atmosphere. All in all it was a joy. Breakfast buffet choice was continental extensive and, although not having a full dining service, a snack & bar service is always available. Shuttle service to town provides easy communication.

My room B2 was below another room, which meant I heard every footstep & every time they flushed the toilet.... not ideal.

Although the property is a little way out of town, they do offer reasonable opportunities to be taken & picked up from town. When you arrive at the property you realise the distance doesn't become an issue. The staff & facilities are brilliant. My room was more than adequate.

The location was too remote for my liking. I did not like relying on a shuttle bus to get into town or to the train station. At the end of a long day of hiking I was disinclined to dress and head into town so I tried to enjoy the simple fare offered by the hotel. It was not tasty enough to order more than once. Three of the four nights a dog barked outside our window. Most annoying!

Our room was large, attractive and the staff was very nice. The hotel has a very accommodating policy toward using their public spaces. We were allowed to play dominoes, bring food from town and dine on the patio. The view of the Ligurian Sea was lovely.

The pool looked like the cleaner was broken (very green) and wasn't usable. The water wasn't consistently hot and our room smelled like weed pretty strongly. Four star it wasn't, and it felt overpriced, and we had really hoped to use the pool.

Other than we paid a premium price (which was reasonable considering we booked last minute and during peak season) and having to remember to unlock and lock the door to your room every time (the hotel is quite old so you get your own proper key to your room), there was nothing else to note.

If you're after an authentic Italian experience then I highly recommend this hotel. We were lucky enough to get this as a last minute booking. The hotel had amazing views from the terrace, one of the most delicious buffet breakfasts we've had during our travels throughout Italy (providing soy sauce was a nice touch, if you're Asian and love your soy sauce) and very good customer service. Location wise is slightly a bit out of the way from town, but we had a hire car so that wasn't an issue. Nonetheless, they do have their own shuttle service for a fee which takes you down to either Levanto station or Levanto beach, so it's really no problem to get around. Overall a good base to see Cinque Terre.

We would have liked pull-down mosqito nets on the windows as we experienced a few bites during our 5 days stay (mid-august). No dinner restaurant at the hotel - and a half-hour walk to town.

Wonderful and quiet place about a mile from the town/sea. Our room was spacious and equipped with air-con and a firm, king-size bed. The sea view overlooking the green hills is simply gordeous. No noise from traffic or night parties. Different terraces to enjoy the view, the swimming pool or an evening drink. Very well supplied breakfast with a wide selection of fruits, cheese and cold cuts etc - and a barista brewing your espresso or capuccino. Very welcoming staff who speaks good English, and give you good advice on how to best explore Levanto and Cinque Terre. Flexible shuttle bus service to and from town.

Beautiful location in the hills outside Levanto and had a fantastic room with a balcony offering a sea view. Shuttle service provided to transport to and from the centre which was really good as we arrived by train rather than car. Lovely infinity pool that was never crowded. Our first time in the Cinque Terra region. Having visited all the Cinque Terra towns we were really pleased to stay just outside in Levanto as it was less crowded and had a fabulous beach.

Only way to get from hotel to the city is to walk on the winding road without pavement. It might be pretty dangerous especially at night so only safe way to get back to the hotel in the evening is to use car or a shuttle bus.

Hotel itself looks great, really authentic and comfortable. Is located on a hill outside the city in a quiet and beautiful place. Room was spacious, comfortable bed, balcony with chairs, table and sunbed. WiFi was not really fast but enough to watch something online. Decent breakfast on a terrace with bautiful view. Free parking (some spots available inside), elevator from parking to reception. Shuttle bus from city to the hotel (paid extra).

The water went off one evening - nothing until next morning. Inconvenient with very little remorse from staff.
