Not many power points in room. The Albani seems to cater for group tours, so breakfast service is a little chaotic when one of these groups is staying at the hotel. Soundproofing leaves a lot to be desired, could clearly hear guests in other rooms talking, taking showers, slamming doors etc.

Really friendly and helpful staff. Within a few minutes walk of all Florence’s main tourist attractions, and a couple of minutes from Florence SMN rail station. Good Wi-Fi. Our room was comfortable, in a reasonable condition, and tastefully decorated.

There was no shower in our room, just bath. Took long to fill up. The air con didn’t work the greatest either so we had to have it going 24/7.

Some staff were really helpful and some were just rude. There was a moldy smell in the breakfast room and breakfast was probably the worst I have had in Italy ever.

Shower was quite poor. The hotel is also in a slightly rough area as we witnessed drug dealing/taking in close proximity to the hotel.

It was cool out so the temp in the rooms was fine but if it would have been warmer there was no way to control the room temps.

Was not sure what to expect with 5 of us traveling and a "family room" but we lucked out at had 2 rooms! One with a king and pull out couch and another with 2 twins! It was awesome and perfect for my family just arriving from the US. Breakfast was awesome! The front desk staff was warm and friendly especially towards my 5 year old nephew and 8 year old niece.

No air conditioning. The windows did open, but there are no screens and the mosquitoes came in.

Room sound insulation was not effective, I could hear the neighbours and cleaning services carrying cleaning works in neighbouring rooms. Breakfast was mediocre, not a lot of choice in fresh food, mostly consisting of sweets and american style breakfast.

My mother was very badly bitten during the night. Unsure if this was something already in the room or mosquitos/flies coming in the window, a net curtain at the windows could help with this.

The hotel is ideally located, a few minutes walk from the train station and within 10-15 minutes from all the major sites. Our room was spacious with a balcony and plenty of storage. The breakfast was excellent.

The temperature in the room couldn’t be controlled with the thermometer - it was either switch on or turn off. Our room was slightly warm at night - not an issue if one likes it warm but I would prefer it to be cooler. Apart from this, we have no issues at all. Everything seemed to be working in order.

Great location, 5 minutes walk from Florence SM train station. Room was spacious, complete with all facilities. Bathroom too was spacious, complete with bidet. Ou room was at the back of the main road and it was quiet at night. Bed was comfy. Our stay came with breakfast and it was delicious.

I found the light switches confusing!! Once I set off an alarm by mistake because I pressed the wrong switch.

This is a hotel of the old school - wood panelling, large rooms, keys to open the doors that you leave at reception when you go out, windows that open. I found it very comfortable and felt like an aristocrat staying there. But if you like everything hi-tech, it may not be for you. A particular pleasure was different thicknesses of pillow and more than one layer of bedding, so one could adjust to taste. The room thermostat also actually worked. Most hotels give you one pillow thickness, one duvet and set the room temperature at sub-tropical. I liked being able to choose at this place.

Parking situation is very bad for people that need cars before 7:30. Made us late for work and luckily we took rental car back before we flew out otherwise would have been big issue.

room and bed was comfortable and quiet. food at breakfast was varied and lovely. the location of the hotel was ideal to be able to walk to most of the places in florence we wanted to visit- very close to the station as well- without that being a noise factor- which was ideal for visiting pisa and siena.

This hotel was so close to the main train station, we were able to walk easily with our suitcases to the hotel. The hotel is very cute and has a boutique-y feel. The service was second to none and there were so many staff always ready to help us. The breakfast was fresh and delicious. The hotel location was perfect walking distance to so many different sites. Having the train station so close we were able to leave and visit other spots with no hassle. There is also a very good supermarket close by if you need supplies. The bathroom was fine, however, the shower lacked pressure- but don't let that put you off, it wasn't a deal breaker for us.
