Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Great breakfast with plenty of choices. The guys at the desk were super friendly and helpful. Theiy gave us good restaurant suggestions and always knew our names.

Rather cramped bathroom especially the shower.
Excellent location, opposite the railway station on the other side of the Grand Canal. Lovely staff- couldn't have been more helpful.

No plugs near bed. Room, while perfectly fine, seemed dated but not stayed in Venice before so maybe that is normal?
Great location near to the train station, staff very friendly and helpful. Room quite large, comfortable bed, very quiet location.

The convenient location, generous breakfast and friendly staff. Marco was on reception when we arrived and he gave us a map and marked out walking tours for us. We followed these and had a wonderful time. He also told us about the ferry app and we really loved our ferry rides.

Lack of Internet access in the bedrooms. Leaking water below the kitchen sink onto the floor Shower facility small without no place to place soap & shampoo. The shower too narrow so that a bigger built person cannot bend to get goodies from the floor. There was no clothes to dry dishes in the kitchen. We used a towel.
Excellent location close Guglie water taxi and Ferrovia.

Easy walk from station and airport taxis and buses! Room had everything except fridge. Breakfast very good and value for money. The nicest, friendliest and most helpful staff I have ever encountered in 60 years of travel!

There is no elevator, I had no problems with it, but it's something to take into account if you have reduced mobility.
Good location, near Santa Lucia train station and very quiet, the room was small but cosy, there was a little problem with the air conditoner but solved for the last night we spent. The breakfast is very good and complete and staff were really kind.

The location is great. My room small but comfortable. Bed a bit hard and only warm water in shower. The staff very nice and helpful. Really great breakfast. Huge choice of lovely fresh pastries etc and bacon and eggs. The lady there looks after you so well I thought she works so hard and is so obliging. I will definitely stay again

Nothing could have been any better, it was perfect for our budget and our needs.
The location was superb -so close to the train station. The staff were wonderfully friendly and helpful, always there with a good morning or good evening, and helped with maps and things to see. It was a lovely traditional hotel experience which was so nice to stay in in a place like Venice, I'm so glad we stayed there. There was a book exchange, brochures and also history books about Venice as well in the lobby, with couches to sit in.

Nothing, but I would only suggest to include a shelf for shampoo/conditioner in the shower/ bathroom.
The location was really good, beautiful and renovated bathroom. Lovely staff, the guy at the reception was super helpful!!

No lifts to the upper floor although the front desk staff offered to help with luggage.
The staff were friendly, helpful and welcoming and gave us great advice about how best to see Venice in a day, and a recommendation for a lovely restaurant.. The location was just off the Grand Canal and a short walk to to the bus and train stations. The accommodation was basic but clean and the bed was comfortable. Easy to store bags.

This is a fab hotel with amazingly friendly and helpful staff. The room was very clean and the location is great for arriving either by car or bus or train, with the main sights a walk or a vaporetto ride away.

The location was great for our one night stay before an early flight out of VCE - close to the train station and parking garage! The staff were friendly and helpful, and it was convenient to be able to check-out in the early morning. We liked that it was less busy in this area than some other spots around Venice! The room was very clean and even ready before the check-in time!

The outdoor furniture on the terrace was old and didnt have any cushions so not really useable. This would have made it excellent rather than good.
Location was excellent near to bis station, grand canal and central venice.
