Windows are small the heater was may be too much warm the swimming pool is not open all time that's why we booked this hotel breakfast the bread was finished they did not bring back but they brought some other stuff. Bathroom was very small you can just stand Shower Soap was to low quality compared to price paid.

Perfect location good reception very helpful in terms of giving information they even prepared specific pasta for us as of 8 people of course vegetarian The bathroom towels were cotton which was excellent

Difficult to find! Booking.com's map is several hundred meters off. Minimal signs which were different to 'Albergo Quarto Pirovano' - it was difficult to find. Dated inside Average restaurant - limited options

The hotel is in desperate need of a major overhaul - but perhaps the dated '70's look is appealing to some. We only stayed for the night and arrived late so the few hours spent there was only out of necessity. The staff only spoke broken English and most of the conversation was by hand gestures, but at least they were friendly.

Sadly, the only good thing about the hotel was it's location.

While it's expected in this location to have accommodation more similar to mountain shelter rather than fresh and modern loft, owners should consider renovation in the short-mid term perspective.

Great location, perfect landscape, big public parking.

We booked a room and made it clear that my mother cannot go up steps due to he being in a wheelchair, to go to room there was a whole flight or steps. Then to add insult to injury shower tray was one foot high and she couldn't go in shower either. We complained that towels were more like table clothes and drying with themwas impossible - receptionist said he would change next morning - none were Forthcoming, we had booked for five days but walked out next morning, on entering there was a crowd at ten pm having a karaoke in reception.

    Location was impeccable

Pirovano is in a great location on top of Stelvio Pass with incredible views. Everyone at the hotel was very friendly, especially Franco and Lucia in the restaurant. As expected, the hotel feels like it is straight out of the 1970s, however everything is clean, working, and in good condition, so I have no complaints. Once I arrived for the weekend, I parked my car and could do everything on food: easy walk to the lift for glacier skiing in the morning, back to the hotel for a change of clothes and lunch, and then hiking in the afternoon. I ate several meals in the restaurant and the food was very good; breakfast has lots of selections and both lunch and dinner featured an extensive salad bar in addition to the menu of the day, which offered a couple different choices for first and second courses.

Reception and restaurant staff were miserable. We booked for 3 couples 6 months in advance, one of the rooms was a small twin with 2 very small single beds that could not be moved and a tiny bathroom. When we asked to be moved it was done under duress with the room key thrown at us. The restaurant food was nice but it's a set menu in a school type dining room where the staff can't get rid of you quick enough.

Location was great for access to the pass but if we went again would stay in Bormio. The Lady who worked in the bar was by far the nicest and most helpful person at the hotel. Nice pool and jacuzzi.

It's very loud, I had teenagers next door that made a party until 2 in the morning...

Passo Stelvio is a great place. Room is quite big and has own bathroom inside and enough storage. For hikers and skiiers, the hotel is a good place. The restaurant and caffe bar are excellent. The hotel is simple but authentic and lively. Retro design - it seems that there haven't been renovations since the opening...

Very happy with the level of service. The reception staff (Carlo) offered to hang our wet bike clothing up in the boiler room to dry, removed a car from the garage so we could park the bike in a dry and covered area, very, very helpful. The pool and jacuzzi were lovely and relaxing. The views from hotel stunning. The room was nice and comfortable. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

wiFi was a bit unreliable. had to keep entering log-in details and didn't work well inside the room. coffee from a machine - what a disappointing thing in Italy!!

Great location for skiing at Stevio Pass. There is ski hire and storage on-site. The rooms were basic, but adequate. Our room had very small widows, some were much bigger. Breakfast was very basic, but ok.

I'm okay with it personally but it does feel like hotel hasn't changed since early 1990s: colour schemes, posters, photographs, signs all point at that. Beds a little small if you're particularly tall. Discotheque downstairs was shut. Wifi only really worked in reception, if at all

Stunning location at the top of a very high mountain with great views; virtually makes it worthwhile alone. Friendly staff, many parking spaces, decent dining options for breakfast and dinner. Value was decent too.

I work as photographer. Need to get up 5.00 in the mornings. Party with karaoke going on until 11.30 at night in lobby area. Hotel block bocked to teenage ski clubs. Sold me a single room online without informing about this. Terrible staff who just told me they couldn't do anything when I called reception twice. At first refused any sort of refund nxt day.

I didn't have very high expectations for a hotel in the middle of nowhere but somehow they still managed to disappoint me. The spa was open only for a few hours in the afternoon and the Finnish sauna was the most ridiculous thing I've seen and I've been in saunas in Sweden. The waiters in the restaurant didn't speak English until suddenly they did after we told that we're going somewhere else. The room was very dusty. All of our stuff had a visible layer of dust on them at the morning. There was a small window over the door that had no curtains so the light from the hallway lit the room in the night. On top of that, the bed and the were like rocks and the blanket had no sheets on it.

There was a real person performing at the lobby bar and the bartender was the only professional in the hotel.
