The heating was a bit loud when in operation, so we turned it off for the night to be able to sleep, but the room got cold quickly. Unfortunately there was only one extra blanket, so one of us had to sleep with a jumper and socks on.

The location is fabulous - directly at the piazza and minutes from the historical centre, the secure parking lot was a big bonus, as we came by car. The most pleasant part of our stay, however, was the receptionist who made excellent recommendations and booked us a restaurant.

Basically the hotel would be absolutely perfect but the mattresses are truly rock hard. It's the only minus here — when it's time to replace them, please have the staff take turns staying a night on the mattress and see how they feel in the morning. Then decide if it's something your clients would like to sleep on as well.

The look and feel of the hotel were great. Very clean, very bright, nice sized room and bath. Great shower. Soothing colors, cool artwork.

I would of liked tea making facilities and a mini fridge but that's probably down to being British.

I loved the location it was smack bang in the middle of the centre. My little girl likes milk still before bed but there wasn't any tea making facilities in our room but the hotel staff warmed her some milk and made me a pot of tea for me too to take to my room. That to me was a lovely act.

Maybe a slightly larger room and bathroom would have been nice but bathroom was very well presented and equipped.

Superb location just on edge of historic centre with views across a magnificent square ( the Prato) and few minutes Walk from stunning Botanical Gardens. Staff extremely helpful, professional but gave a relaxed atmosphere. Particularly liked the generous individual jugs of coffee rather than just a traditional tiny espresso and, complimentary fresh coffee was available on request during the day- a lovely touch. Convenient and reasonably priced (€7 per day) secure car parking right next to hotel.

Everything was fabulous. Very comfortable, simple but beautifully finished and spotlessly clean. I asked for a quiet room, and was not disappointed. I was very glad of the AC as it was extremely hot! Staff were friendly and helpful. Nothing at all to complain about. On a side note - great restaurant practically next door - Zairo's. I didn't mind the walk to the centro during the day but appreciated somewhere close by in the evening.

Place noisy. Room small. No veggies for breakfast. Staff ask you weird things like signing something in unreadable small letters or pay local taxes in cash. This hotel not in Sygic its called Al Gardino... so plan your trip accordingly.

Location optimal. View to the square Prato della Valle and the Basilica/Abbazia della Santa Guistina. A/C works well. Breakfast coffee nice. It looks like Z Hotel in London or Motel One on the Mainland so if you like those that for you. Parking is nice but you cant stop when arriving.

Pity about the wind and rain in February....even Hotel Al Prato couldn't control that!

We arrived in lashing rain in early February and found the hotel fresh and new and welcoming. Its location is perfect for visiting everything to do with "Il Santo" (St Anthony). Next door is a lovely restaurant "Zairo" which has a huge garden terrace for al fresco dining in Summer. Nice buffet breakfast in the lobby. 10 minutes max by taxi to the Train/Bus Station. A return visit is on the cards.
