A little difficult to get to the parking place, but directions from the hotel email were good. Room a bit small.

Breakfast was especially good, nice selection of fruit, cheese, meat and bread and pastries. Location was really good, close to the centre, the castle and the lake.

The location is excellent, close to the restaurants, shops and castle and is just a short walk from the lake. It is a very friendly family run hotel. Breakfast is very good and the staff are very pleasant. They serve lunch on site and you can get an evening meal at its sister hotel by the lake. Drinks are available most of the day. There is a good sized swimming pool and underground parking, book in advance to ensure a space!

We had a budget room and given that, it was very comfortable and clean. We could however, hear the guests snoring in the next room. Bathroom was dark and small but functional and again very clean.

The staff were very friendly and hard working. Breakfast service was excellent as was the quality and variety of food. Location was very good too. The pool looked very inviting and clean but the weather wasnt warm enough to try it.

The bedroom was small but we were still happy with the hotel.

We visited before 10 years ago and decided to return. It is a family run business and the family are really lovely, the breakfast was lovely, the location is excellent and it is a really relaxing place too sty.

We were a single booking with a party of 5 in 3 bedrooms. One room was in the annex 1st floor, one room was in the main building 1st floor (end of corridor) and one room on the 2nd floor (near lift). None of the rooms were near to each other which made looking after the 2 elderly family members (92 and 89 years - advised to hotel in advance) challenging. Due to the size and layout of the hotel would probably not recommend to groups who want to be together.

The service, staff and cleanliness. Also excellent breakfast.

The rooms are small and are not equipped with a water heater for coffee or tea. I find this a minus as I enjoy having a coffee in the morning, especially if there is an access to balcony. The parking garage is also small and could not accommodate all the cars. Checkout at 10 is too early in my opinion.

The hotel is friendly and has a personal touch. Everything is clean and the room had balcony. The breakfast was good as well as the service.

The only downside was that there was no fridge in the bedroom and the spar shop by the hotel closes extremely early. Therefore no cold drinks before bed (other than when out for dinner) and then no drink until breakfast in the morning which was luke warm.

The staff were extremely friendly especially Lucas, couldn't do enough for us and sorted our transfer to and from the airport before we'd even arrived. Right by the town, the lake and the castle which was perfect.

Booked top graded room which should have had a pool view but didn't and was cramped with very small bathroom. We requested an alternative lower graded room which was bigger and had a bigger bathroom and garden view, which we preferred. Too much competition over sun beds, many reserved from 8am, but often not used much. Better guidance would have helped.

Great location and faciities. Excellent breakfast and dining area. Air conditioning - essential as temperatures over 30degC at end June. Staff very helpful. Family run.

Rooms rather basic but had everything you needed. Shower room looked as though it needed tiling.

The breakfast was excellent, lots of lovely cheeses and hams, fruits, breads, cakes; the staff wonderful and the position of the hotel very good - just under the castle and near to the lakeside. We also liked the underground car park at no extra cost. Lovely views of the Lake from our balcony which overlooked the pool too.

Hard to find as tucked away down a street which had limited access for cars so not obvious you could drive down there. Very few signs to reassure you when you were on the right route. Having said that great to have the free garage parking when we eventually found the hotel.

Very helpful and welcoming staff. Room spotlessly clean and comfortable although small. Lovely outdoor areas with garden, pool and viewsof the castle. Delicious breakfast and great dinner at sister hotel Prima Luna. Very close to both lake and old town.

The room could do with modernising. Could use more electrical sockets, especially in the bathroom so that my wife could use her hair dryer, one supplied is very basic. In the town itself beware of the cobbles. I only had deck shoes with not much protection and after a couple of days it was quite painful walking about. I had to buy footwear with thicker soles. After that it was fine.

The staff were wonderful. Very attentive and once you asked for something it was remember all the other days of the holiday. The shower was a good size. Nice little balcony. Bathroom did have a good magnifying mirror. Bar drinks and food were reasonably priced, so you didn't feel that you had to go out all the time. They supplied an entry code for those late nights out, talking to other visitors there that was not always the case. Very central with a beautiful view of the castle. Wi-Fi was pretty good. Beware of portion sizes in the town restaurants. Ordering a starter and a main can be a stretch. Not all places but a lot of them.

The room smelt like perming lotion, the bathroom smelt like mould. The mattress was like cardboard, glad I only stayed for 2 nights. Could not have stayed any longer

Shower was a bit basic and could do with renovation. The approach to the parking is a bit hairy and perhaps needs one more sign on the Via Paina so that you don't turn down towards the lake with barely any room to turn round!

Very friendly welcome and good guidance/discount to eat in the evening at sister hotel PrimaLuna close by(which was excellent so we ate there twice) . Cleverly designed room, albeit very compact, but lots of storage space.Well located for Monte Baldo cable car and for just wandering around the pretty town

This is a great place to stay in Malcesine. Close to everything, great breakfast and the staff is amazing. Luca was exceptional. I would recommend bringing your own hairdryer as there was no power in the ones provided, but other than that there is nothing negative about this Hotel.

Every member of staff was so friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them. Brilliant continental breakfast. Lovely outside area and swimming pool. Location great for the Lake and town.

We felt that the rooms would benefit having small fridges and tea/coffee making facilities.

The hotel staff were extremely friendly and went out of their way to help - most can speak excellent English. The breakfasts were very good and the hotel was very flexible with the breakfast time. The hotel is in a lovely location with views of Lake Garda and very close, via a very steep road, to the centre of Malcesine. .

The Luna Rossa is an absolute joy to stay in. The hotel is set in a great location with stunning views. However what makes the Luna Rossa so great is the Stefanelli family and the service provided by Lucca and all the family.
