How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Verified reviewI stayed here with my son and his girlfriend. I had a twin room and they had a double room. My room was very big and spacious and it had lovely big windows to open and I watched the sunset in the morning and then the sun came streaming through. Enzo was very welcoming and helpful and it was clear he was really keen to look after his guests. The location was good and a short walk from the centre. The wifi was exceptional which was good after our previous accommodation that said they had wifi but it didn't work for 3 days. Parking free on the street outside the property. Very good value for money.

Verified reviewMine was a last minute emergency overnight stay so I opted for the lowest cost option…a small single. The room was MUCH bigger than I expected! A bit dated but it was almost charming in a way. I took a peak (and smelled) what was coming out of the cute little kitchen area nook during breakfast as I left and immediately regretted not choosing the “breakfast included” option. It was the perfect short stay in extremely short notice. Worth noting: the extremely comfortable mattress and pillows, great aircon, location (right next door to a local bar and supermarket + an 8-minute walk to centro storico), fantastic value for the money, and last but not least…fantastic owner/host. Grazie mille Enzo!

Verified reviewThe B&B is situated in the center but still away from it, making free parking much easier. The owner was very responsive and a very nice person who went above and beyond to help me. The value for money was very high. As I was on a short trip, I was looking for a decent place, free parking, and value for money, and the B&B provided that.
The rooms was relatively small is size, but I was aware of it before.

Verified reviewLovely owners. Room was comfortable. Unfortunately no breakfast when we were there but the owners gave us a voucher for the bar nearby instead and we had a nice typical Italian breakfast of pastry and coffee there instead.
The construction area just outside the entrance to the building, however that is outside of the owner's control!

I didn’t get the room I booked at all
good morning this is the thank you for giving you a more comfortable room. dear sir you had booked the Dioscuri room for a person with a single bed paying €26, room of 9 m2. Since it was available I gave you the Giunone room of 14 m2, with a double bed with the same conditions without any difference (you can check the differences of the two rooms on booking). To make it more comfortable given the availability of the superior category room. instead of appreciating my availability, you penalize me by saying that I did not give the booked room even if it was inferior. you are a person unworthy of receiving benevolence from others, you should have praised me for having given you a superior category room and not penalize your terrible and lying judgment.

I dont know from where to start. Starting from the entrance it is a disgrace to walk to. We who had a pushchair and even the luggages was so much of a hassle to reach the room since there is a flight of stairs and in the lift not even the pushchair fits. The bathroom is a disgrace … outdated and not clean. I found a hair band and also hair in the shower. And lets not forget to mention the air instructor in the bathroom which was very dirty. I requested a cot… they approved but i did not find a cot in the room when we arrived. When it comes to cleaning of the room... they did not enter the room to not even give us fresh towels after our first night
