We could hear the trash being taken out every morning/night outside our room, which faced the back alley/parking area. The rooms did not have good sound insulation and we could hear easily into the hallway and neighboring rooms. Water shower pressure was very weak. Bed was firm. Our room was a bit crammed and there was nowhere to put a second suitcase (there were two of us in the double).

The hotel has a lot of character, as its the oldest in Cortina. The best part about it is the location in town. Though we didn't have a room with a view, I expect there are some nice views overlooking town. Cortina is beautiful!

The room was okay, as it is a very old hotel (the oldest in Cortina) and the room was full of heavy antique furniture which left it feeling very small and crowded. It was very expensive but in fairness Cortina is a very expensive town and we were there at the peak time.

The location was excellent, smack in the centre of Cortina. Finding the hotel by car is a bit tricky as the address we put into the navigator is the hotels address which is a pedestrian strip, should be instructions to put in a back address to get into hotel parking. We ended up having to ring to get directions and the lady was very nice and patient and the car was valet parked as it is very tight parking. The lady at reception was very nice and took us up to the room and was very informative. There was an English speaking TV film channel which was great.

The hotel is approached up a steep incline with limited parking on the upper level. This did not prove to be a problem but might have. It did however provide the magnificent views.

The standards were high and the position provided superb views. The restaurant was of excellent quality and service.

Beautiful hotel centrally located in Cortina. Staff were very helpful assisting with parking our car and suggestions on sight seeing. The owner was a lovely lady who told us about the history of the hotel.

A pleasant, quiet, comfortable stay in a great location for the town and ski lifts
    • Leisure trip

    • Double Room
    • Stayed 7 nights

The breakfast choice never changed with no fresh fruit and the same cold scrambled egg & bacon. The evening meal was a set price of 50 euros for 4 courses, too much food with no a la carte choice of having just two/three courses. The ski/boot room needs rethinking with presently two additional keys for door and ski rack and lights to be turned on and off. It's a real performance! They really should have a golf buggy or such to collect and drop off guests at the bus station.

Best of all - location The room was comfortable and unusually there was plenty of storage space and hangers. The staff were helpful generally and the room cleaning staff were excellent

Parking was very difficult to find. Room's pretty dated.

The staff working at the restaurant/bar were the best! And the concierge guy as well. Customer service was great especially by such hardworking people. They totally made the stay great. Location is also very good.

Room was a little small and not very soundproof--we could hear other guests. Also, guest next door smoked and the hallway smelled of it.

Headboard, armoire and ceiling decorated with vibrant designs. Balcony with views of the Dolomites. Good breakfast served in a lovely, sunny dining room.

Just one thing - in the restaurant the waiters should inform about the possibility of having menu a la carte. They usually present only a prix fixe menu - which might be discouraging for those who don't eat so much in the evening.

Great localization in the center, close to the ski lift, beautiful interior, comfortable and cosy rooms, very professional staff, willing to accomodate all your needs and a great restaurant in the hotel. We come to Italy every year for skiing vacation and this is the best hotel we have ever been to. Just enough luxury and comfort to get you very happy after a long day on the slopes. And the owner, Signora Flavia, who loves recommending all the best places you might want to visit or see - absolutely worth trying. Very chicque!!!

Coffee and 'hot' breakfast items were barely warm - a shame because the coffee, eggs and bacon were of a great standard. Very frustrating / limited internet access

Location, room, staff and also help to arrange airport transfer. I would definitely book this hotel again.

The wifi was sub-standard but I was informed by the owner of a store in the town that this is apparently a problem everywhere in Cortina.

The location is right in the middle of the historical centre of Cortina, and despite all the designer stores, you can't help but be impressed by the architecture. The staff at the hotel were always cordial and professional without being stuffy. There was a relaxed atmosphere in the hotel and the days flowed effortlessly into each other without any stress or frustration.

Difficult to find with own car, one has to dear to drive thru a pedestrian only area - though that's perhaps quite normal in Italy... More variety to breakfast buffet would be appreciated.

Location right in the middle of town. Hotel has preserved well its historical dignity. Friendly and professional service of staff. Good value for money.
