We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaExactly as described - depends what you are looking for!
I wanted a secluded few days at the beach and that’s exactly what I got and it was perfect! I booked a very last minute flight to Ischia with the plan to sit by the beach and relax and I got exactly that. I loved staying at Maronti Beach, as the bus made it down the hill to the beach, I was in love…it’s removed from the hustle and bustle of the port, it’s so quiet and simply stunning. There are enough restaurants that suffice for a few days but it’s also very easy to get on a water taxi from right out the front of the hotel. I got a water taxi over to Sorgeto to experience the natural hot springs in the sea - incredible!! Angelo is very kind and the whole family team that work here, it is a family run hotel, I loved the charm of the old school rooms, it’s very authentic and I loved it…the views from your room balcony are simply breathtaking and given the price of your room it’s pretty impressive (any other hotel that would make your room very very expensive per night). The hotel is down the other end of the beach to the bus, water taxi wasn’t available when I arrived due to rough water but the walk down the beach made it so much more authentic and enjoyable, not something I would normally experience, off the beaten track (tip: if you walk under the cave, you’ve gone to far)

PolandIts a family run, magical place straight on the beach, very nice breakfast each morning. About the comments that its hard to reach – its a 10 minute walk to the bus, theres special foodbridge on the beach or you can take a water taxi from St. Angelo that brings you straight to the hotel. Not so hard in my opinion, but for people with mobility stuggles that might be an issue.

United StatesWe loved everything about the hotel. But, here are some helpful tips. Mosquitoes are in full form as early as mid-May! Folks with mobility issues could have a tough time getting to the hotel as you either need to arrive by taxi boat or by beach stairs and planked/beach walkways, and there is no lift. As with many European hotels, no A/C but they kindly provided a fan.
The staff and amazing family that runs Hotel Angelino are the heart of the hotel and made our stay so special. The hotel is right on the beach, at the end, so it has a fairly private feel. From the location, you can access amazing food and experiences outside of the hotel, on the water and in the nearby villages. However, the meals prepared by family-run restaurant are so fresh and delicious, you can also stay in and eat very well. We highly, highly recommend this place if you’re looking for an unforgettable, low-key, relaxing beach getaway off the tourist track. Thanks Johnny and his Moglio!

Very well-positioned hotel - almost in the sea, clean room, balcony with amazing view, a small swimming pool, the terrace for breakfast/lunch/dinner is great, delicious food. The access from the bus stop/car parking is not very easy, but if you call the owner, he will come and help or he will send someone to do it. The staff was very nice, helpful, we felt as we were among friends. It is a simple and modest hotel, but in the same time, distinguished and special, at least for us :-)

SwitzerlandWaking up to that view was amazing! Also the fact that you can wake up and jump straight in the sea. The pasta was also amazing. I can’t recommend it enough. The only thing, is that during our time there it was hard to get to the hotel. But once we knew we had to walk through the water to get there, we actually enjoyed the little adventure :) we travelled with our two children (5 and 7 years old). Hotel Angelino was defo the highlight of our vacation in Italy! The only thing, is that during our time there it was hard to get to the hotel. SlovakiaThe only thing which I would recommend to improve is the kitchen. A food in the restaurant is not tasty.
This place is a little heaven. Hotel room was clean with beautiful terrace, there is pool for the guests available. The location is awesome, directly on the beach. I definitely recommend this place for stay. Staff is very nice and breakfast are good.

GermanyWe spent three nights there in early October. While it is a bit hard to find and can be (especially during high winds and rough seas) a bit noisy due to its location right on the waterfront, we really enjoyed our stay there. It is a simple hotel with simple rooms and the next bus stop and parking lot is a 20 minute hike - but that is exactly what makes it so charming. No busloads of tourists, no people who accidentally happen to be there. Just a really cozy hotel with a really nice family owning it.

GermanyNothing - you just need to know that it is a twenty minute walk from the next bus stop or parking lot - and it‘s a steep hike.

United StatesThe bed and shower.
The location was amazing! Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was yummy. The room was very small and the shower was tiny. Overall the hotel had a very rustic feel and was a bit challenging to get to but none the less an experience. One very important point for us was the bed. We had a difficult time sleeping because the mattress was extremely hard. Very affordable and fair price.

South AfricaYou have 2 choices getting to the property, either a flight of many stairs or via the beach where parts of the walkway you will get wet. It is not recommended to visit the property with a lot of luggage. You can use the luggage lockers in Naples to store your access luggage and only take what's needed to the island.
Hotel Angelino is on the quiet side of the island. The nearest town is easily accessible via a small boat traveling every 10 minutes. The host was friendly and the room was right on the seaside. The bed was comfy and the noise of the sea at night was so satisfying. From the Port to the property you have to take either a bus or taxi, it is to far to walk.

New ZealandAccess, especially in rough weather as couldn’t use water taxi. Really unsuitable as it requires going over the hill or over rocks on the beach. Need to be fit and healthy but still a real hazard. Old bathroom, especially the shower pressure, the fact it was over the bath with an old curtain. The smoke from other visitors who insisted on smoking on their doorstep or in front of their room on the large shared deck at 06:00 and as late as 23:00. The smoke permeated the bedroom immediately.
Hosts. Johnny Raphaella and Martina were very welcoming. Great hosts. Raphaella cooking and baking. The proximity to the water. The thermal pool. Cleanliness of the room. Personnel were very obliging and kind. Lack of road noise as no road! No hordes of tourists. Facility to walk over the hill at the back or water taxi to Saint Angelo. Plentiful restaurants nearby as well as the hotel restaurant.

United KingdomWe liked everything. However it was very hot when we were there so be prepared for no air con! We were provided with an extra fan when we requested this so not an issue. The hotel is basic and still very much as it was in the 70s, but for us, this added to the charm! There is no beach area at the hotel but we hired sunbeds further down the beach. They cost about €30 euros for 2 with an umbrella. There is the thermal pool at the hotel but it is only reachable by a very steep sloped hill and my Mum was not able to manage that. It looked lovely though.
Beautiful location and exceptional views of Maronti beach and St Angelo. The rooms were spacious and clean. Balcony overlooking the ocean. There is a small sunbathing deck with stone steps leading right into the ocean. This is beautiful but be careful as the steps are slippery. The breakfast was really generous with delicious home baked cakes. You can have eggs on request. The evening meals were the most delicious we had on our whole trip! The family that run the hotel are really friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much and Johnny even fixed my broken headphones! As the hotel is situated along the far end of Maronti beach, we had requested help getting there with our luggage, which was done at no extra cost. Taxi boat stops outside hotel to go to St Angelo which is nice for a look around but expensive. This is an idyllic, relaxing retreat.
