Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustriaSmell entering the building where our room was, is too humid; I understand that the back wall is basically natural rocks but a dehumidifier might still help here :-)
Charming accommodation - feels almost like being back to the medieval staying in Santu Lussurgiu ;-) Great restaurant - definitely suggest to go for the dinner menu; breakfast also nice everything sourced very locally!

AustriaLovely atmosphere, amazingly friendly hosts and great dinner. (Unfortunately we didn’t go for the wine experience accompanying the dinner but of what I saw they have an amazing choice of good wines there). Also the breakfast was probably the most varied I had on Sardegna.

United KingdomThe dinner was superb, really interesting imaginative food, well balanced menu. Had the wine pairing with the meal, though more expensive than buying a single bottle in this instance it was perfect .The wines were most interesting , all very different and complemented each course. Would definitely recommend.

United KingdomWe stayed three nights, but whilst the dinner on our first night was beautiful, we wondered if we could have eaten a smaller meal on some nights, or just had a drink. This was not clear - literature in our rooms explaining the dinner options would have been helpful.
The dinner was a gastronomic experience. We sat in a beautiful garden to drink cocktails before enjoying slow Sardinian food served with explanation and passion for locally produced, high quality dishes. Breakfast was equally a feast to behold. The room had a view across the valley which was lovely and the room was enormous. I was grateful for the bathing facilities as it is rare to have a bathtub. The staff were professional and friendly and the people in the village were so kind to us. The perfect place to unwind and indulge.

MaltaEven though it is a beautiful period room, one should avoid the room that overlooks the main courtyard on hot days because some noise comes up from the dining guests in the courtyard and the portable cooler isn't very effective. However, after we brought this to the owners' attention, they were fast to provide us with an other room.
Excellent service and very welcoming. The owners were very quick in providing a solution to an issue that we have raised. All the staff is likewise very welcoming. Very good breakfast with a good assortment of locally produced items.

NetherlandsWhat absolutely stands out is the extreme high quality of the food, both dinner and breakfast. I highly recommend dining here, it exceeded my expectation by far, and I am quite spoiled in terms of food and wine. The staff is very helpful and friendly as well.

Australiathe restaurant admitted to providing extremely tough cut of pork, they offered one couple the meal for free and to have them attend on the house the next night we were told by the couple. Wr were still charged the full amount for the meal even though they admitted the pork was inedible.

CanadaBeware that there are lots of stairs on the property depending one where your room is. If you have someone who has trouble navigating stairs or walking, this could be a problem. Also exploring the tiny lanes of the quiet village is great fun, but only if you have no difficulty with cobblestones and walking.
Hotel set in very quaint old village in the hills with very narrow picturesque streets. Hotel's 3 buildings are very historical as well. We loved the artistic set up of the rooms, the library, the interior garden and courtyard where we enjoyed a buffet breakfast as well as a fine multi course dinner.

AustraliaDinner was very prolonged 8 - 10pm and though nowhere else to eat in the town, I would not wish to do this each evening of the stay. No 'shorter' alternative. The food was not good, but exceptional for all the trappings (served well and the waiter was excellent though run off his feet)
Loved being part of the concept of restoring heritage properties, done to a high quality of interior. Breakfast in the courtyard was excellent

AustraliaThere needs to be more attention to detail. Two light bulbs in my room needed replacing. Tea bags & sugar sachets were not replaced daily. The bathroom needed hooks for the towels. The toilet downstairs in the courtyard had run out of toilet paper. This hotel is really not suitable for the elderly. Far too many stairs with high treads. Tricky cobblestone streets to navigate in the village & getting to & from one building to another & to & from the hotel to parking.
Very historic & atmospheric property. Tasteful decor. The staff were very friendly & helpful. The set dinners were imaginative & delicious. The wines offered were outstanding. The breakfast was varied & excellent. The bedroom was comfortable & had a great view.

South AfricaI would like to have good coffee when I wake up, it would be wonderful if it could be an option to go get fresh coffee in the dining area early morning. The coffee provided in the rooms were not good at all.
A whole experience living in the middle of a small village in collection of three buildings with lots of corners and history captured in its antique furniture, photos and atmosphere. The culinary treats of breakfast and dinner were unforgettable. Room was big, with a modern bathroom and underfloor heating. The staff were attentive and did their best to make guests feel comfortable. Good communication and instructions made it easy to park in a very different situation in this small village.

GermanyIt‘s hard to describe how beautiful and charming this place is. From the minute you walk into the magical courtyard with its proud persimmon tree heavy with fruit, you feel like entering a dream world. Our room was in the other house behind the main one and we loved going through the antique corridors and passages lovingly decorated with antiques. Every morning we were greeted with a fantastic view of the valley beyond. The breakfast was simple, elegant and featured products made in house and the region. The Degustation dinners were divine, as was the impressive wine list. All in all a truly remarkable experience. Grazie mille!
