How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Verified reviewThe rooms and toilet were clean and comfortable. The staff were helpful and friendly and the breakfast was great.
The only thing we didn't like was the fact that it was a bit noisy because of the guests sitting downstairs outside our balcony. But it was a Saturday night so it's understandable.

The plants behind the hotel need a cut, as obstructing the natural light to get in the room.

The bathroom was a little uncomfortable. The door opens towards the inside, blocking the way to the toilet. Also, the toilet seat moved a little.

Toilet in room did not flush I was trapped in the bathroom when the door lock became stuck Tried to get a glass of wine from the hotel bar to sit outside and enjoy the view. Other guests had been able to obtain this from the hotel staff but we were told this was not possible for us

As explained during the check-in, our Honesty Bar is available 24 hours a day: guests are welcome to help themselves and enjoy a drink. Verified reviewThe location is excellent if you have a car. It overlooks the countryside and is between Verona and Vicensa. Wonderful Palladio villas are in the vicinity. The staff is utmost helpful and knowledgable.

Verified reviewThe staff was very friendly and helpful, both at reception and in the breakfast room. The room was clean, very spacious and quiet, the bed comfortable. The breakfast had variety and was good. The building also is nice. The quality to price ratio for me was good.
While there is a very nice cafe' area outside, it feels the best part of the view is taken over by the carpark.

The first floor room we had has the "patio" door that can not stay open cause there's neither fence arround nor separation between neighbouring rooms. Thus the unpleasant room odor remained during our stay.

Verified reviewWe liked the quietness of the location. The entrance is very nice. We had dinner at the restaurant and the price was quite correct and the food was good.
They proposed us a room upgrade for €5 only, but the room was nothing special and facing the car parking, which means that at night, if you leave the window open, the lights of the cars enter the room. So they eventually gave us another room, which we discovered was not upgraded. There was not even room for two nightstands, there was only one. In addition, the bathroom was very tiny and the door didn’t close well. One light in the bathroom was not working, but the guy at the Reception immediately came to change it when we informed him of this problem. We spent one night only. What disturbed us is that in many hotels including this one they offer us an upgrade for a few euros, but didn’t even show us the difference between the rooms. They showed us only the upgraded one . Sometimes we have a feeling to be cheated.

Verified reviewA modern hotel located in a quiet area, overlooking a vineyard. The rooms are spacious, clean and well lit. The staff is very friendly and ready to provide you with information and help if needed. Breakfast is very good as well.
The only thing that was unpleasantly surprising was the huge price (20 euros) for each night of a dog's stay. We have a 2 kg dog. It was the highest price we have ever paid for her (and we travel a lot). I think they could be a little more flexible.
