Such a pleasant property -- and even better that it is multi-generational family run! Everyone is so pleasant and helpful that we felt we were constantly being pampered. The room was spacious, the beds were comfortable, the breakfast outside each morning very tasty with custom made items each day. The pool was SO clutch given how hot it was, water very refreshing and also very little chlorine which we certainly appreciate. They serve other meals as needed and are happy to recommend (and make reservations) for many of the hill town restaurants near them. I was always greeted with a smile by everyone, and I do not think I received the least bit of special attention. You can see for yourselves, I am sure you will not be disappointed!

It was very hot when there, and the rooms, while beautiful, are also older...so the AC that runs does not stay in the room as much as a more modern room's AC would....so my only recommendation is to recognize this for these exceptionally hot days and nights and let the AC minimum temp go lower.

There with my family - Location is perfect to visit Toscana and Niccolo and the team has provided great service.

Antico Borgo was an absolute gem of a find. We loved it! At times we were the only family at the pool so it was almost like having our own villa but with the amazing family onboard to cater for all our needs. San Gimingnano is a very special place to us and this property has added even more to that. We will definitely return. We can highly recommend it. It’s family run and that is most definitely the feel it has. Nico deserves a special mention. A lovely young man and a credit to his family !

Amazing property with a family dedicated to make the Tuscan experience come to life. We loved every minute of the stay. The pool is huge and perfect for lazy time. It is centered outside San Gimignano but is an easy drive there. Would recommend 100%

A beautiful stay with breathtaking views stretching all the way to San Gimignano. You’re welcomed as if you’re part of the family, especially by Federico and Niccolò, two incredibly kind and helpful young hosts who are always ready to assist with a warm smile. The room was very clean and well maintained, as was the bathroom. Every day, they asked if we wanted fresh towels or if we’d like the room cleaned. Great service. Having breakfast on the private terrace of our room was such a lovely extra touch. The pool was great, with enough parasols to find shade under the strong Tuscan sun. There’s plenty to do within a short drive. You can visit charming towns like San Gimignano, Volterra, and Siena, or enjoy local wine tastings nearby. Exploring the area by Vespa is also a fantastic option. Highly recommended!

We enjoyed our first Tuskany visit in Il Cardino and were sooo happy there. The room, our own terrace (were breakfast was served every morning), the pool area (where you can enjoy cocktails or antipasti in the evenings) and all the garden surroundings were just so lovely, we enjoyed our stay really very much. All the stuff around Nicolo were just lovely and they took care of all of our wished. Thanks so much for our lovely time with you, Il Cardino, and hope to see you soon again! 🌞

We chose the site because it had air conditioning a pool and the location looked central. We didn’t know that we would absolutely adore the family running the property and the breakfast and hospitality were beyond amazing. The location was very central to local attractions. It was such a warm welcoming and relaxing place to stay.

This portion of our extended trip throughout Italy was delightful. We were greeted by Nicolo, the owners’ son, who was a perfect example of the genuine, kind hospitality of Italy… actually he exceeded the norm and our expectations. The entire family was equally warm and inviting. Our room had the character and charm of a beloved Italian farmhouse in the vine-filled countryside and opened onto a lovely patio with a refreshing, wonderful view, room 10. Everything was well maintained and the large pool sparkled invitingly. We used it everyday and the water was always very clean and set at a comfortable temperature. Nicolo offered exceptionally good restaurant recommendations that made us feel like a resident rather than a vacationer. We will definitely return one day!

Everything was perfect! Nicolo (if i got name correct) greet us with care and was helpful about every information that we needed. The Antico is run by family and you can feel it. From kind welcome to great breakfast. Room was very clean and nice. We especially enjoyed the little terace in front of our room. I highly recommend and will be back!

We loved our stay ! The staff was so friendly (hugs all around when I checked out!) and the rooms were clean and comfortable. The pool is beautiful, and it was the perfect place to relax. Breakfast on the terrace was lovely.

Beautiful place in a delightful, scenic location. I only stayed one night as a stopover on a cycling trip so I wasn't able to take advantage of all of the facilities - including a very inviting looking pool! - but I had a very enjoyable stay nonetheless and breakfast was delicious (and plentiful!).

We loved this stay managed by a very nice family. It was clean and we especially enjoyed the pool with views of San Gimignano which is approx 20 mins away. The breakfast was served at our private terrace according to what we ordered and was amazing. We also received tips for nearby restaurants that we really appreciated.

We liked everything

Love the patio where we can have the delicious free breakfast every morning. As well as the other spaces such as the swimming pool & the bigger patio. All in all a beautiful place!

Gorgeous agriturismo with an amazing view of San Gimignano, breakfast is served on your own private little terrace. The place is run by a family, each member was so warm and welcoming, would happily stay here again

Everything! The room, the garden, the staff, the food, the location. It was wonderful to be brought the breakfast to the little terrace outside our room! We fully appreciated the stories and history about the place told by the family owing the estate!

The staff was really friendly. We can't use the pool because of the weather but it looks clean and pretty.

The accomodation doesn't look like the photos. It was not possible to open the window in the bathroom because of the smoking area in front of it. The breakfast has to be order in the evening before so that any wishes aren't possible. The sound from the livingroom was really loud because of a soccer game in the evening.

We loved the location, grounds of the property and the staff was so helpful. Very accessible from all routes. Views are fantastic and very quiet at night. Nick was very sweet to book our dinners for us.

Bed could be more comfortable and more pillows would be nice. Breakfast was bit confusing for us to order. There should have been some water bottles or water left in the room.

We enjoyed our stay and would always come back! The hotel is family owned and everyone was very friendly and helpful. We loved the breakfast that was brought to our private patio in the mornings. The croissants were amazing! The room was clean and the bed was comfortable.
