Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty

- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The odour in the hotel hall is not the best. The room was dark with weak illumination, and I kept touching my head on the timber on the roof. In general, the hotel may improve the maintenance.
The location is wonderful, almost in San Marco Square. It is a five-minute walk from the boat station. We only walked, and I love this location. The breakfast is nice, and I like the decoration and the pictures on the hotel walls.

We do not have shampoo and conditioner (only shower gel), the door in shower/bath was broken, they do not provide bath plug stopper - so it is impossible have a bath. Also it was big rust stains on the toilet.
Excellent location, great view, nice breakfast, kind staff, slightly old room, clean bedroom and sheets, bathroom need renovation and proper cleaning.

Very old, funny smell inside. They should change these old bed covers and put something more modern, I didn't want to sit on them due to fear of possible bed bugs, they felt disgusting. Breakfast was fair but it definitely lacked vegetables and fruit. I understand that Italians eat their breakfast sweet but as a hotel they're having international guests that want different things to eat for breakfast. The single room was tiny.
Great location in the heart of Venice, just behind Piazza San Marco I could check in earlier so that's a plus

The fridge wasn’t working inside the room, and getting to the room was like a maze and the hallways and the room were cramped.

it s a good place for everywhere. And there are so many restaurantes around the hotel , the breakfast was good even less kind of food, my room was a single room , beside the street but it wan’t noise. The temperature of the room was good too, but my bed was terrible, The mattress is too old and sagging like a hole , should be change it . And the bathroom was clean, the water was good temperature but the shower was small flow water . Finally, with this price, it s a good choose to live here

The mattress basically needed to be replaced. The springs in quarter of it were kaput and caused be to sleep in some convoluted way.
It was just what I needed, bed, shower, TV.

We have two booked standard double rooms. In the first room the shower was broken In the second one the bed was not the double size, but one and a half. We barely fitted with my husband. Pillows were very uncomfortable and hard

The smell as you walk into the foyer made my stomach turn each time. The pillows were incredibly thin and when requested more, reception staff said that they’d see what they could do but didn’t think they had any. The hair dryer was taped together with sticky tape and didn’t work properly. The cupboard was falling apart and when I tried to hang my coat, the whole bar fell out. The property is old yes, but there doesn’t appear to have been much maintenance to keep the property tidy and fresh. Everything appears to be a bandaid approach.
The property is super close to St Mark’s Square. Easy to get around and they include a free breakfast. It’s minimal but a nice way to start your day.

A lot of steps could only get to room by separate entrance, which meant having to go out onto the street and walk to the entrance to lobby. Lifts were unreliable, and I had to call reception on two occasions to reset the lift. Very basic breakfast, no fruit. Was leaving before breakfast on the final day was refused the day before when I asked if we could get a yoghurt from the kitchen. They refused to help bring bags down to reception when departing, and when I requested an alarm call, I was told, " Not making you any promises " Never got the alarm call.
