Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

I missed electric tea kettle, because room was a bit cold for me and having a cup of tea or coffe would have made enormous difference. But all in all - it was a good stay in this hotel.
Good location - close to the city centre. I had a room with balcony, which opened a view to the Shrine of the Virgin of the Rosary of Pompei.

The sound insulation isn't very strong for the room so you can hear everything going on outside.
The location was perfect, only a 10 minute walk away from the entrance to Pompei ruins. The owners were very welcoming and gave us recommendations for local businesses such as for laundry. The balcony had a very pretty view of the square outside. The hotel had more of a nice homey vibe to it than most hotels.

The location is excellent, plenty of restaurants and bars to eat. There is a park 2 minute walk that is great for kids to play. The archeological ruins of Pompei are only a 7 minute walk from the hotel.

No WiFi in the room, and POOR WiFi in the common areas.
I really enjoyed staying 2 nights in Pompei, as it is quite a sizeable little town, and I got to see more than just the super touristy bits. Restaurants and cafees in town are half the prize as those by the ruins. There is a very pretty big church right in town, and most tourists don't even see it, as they are all coming with the super owercrowded train from Napoli that stops at Scavi station, while there is another trainline where you can easily stroll on and get a seat, that stops at Sanutario station. The hotel was just 5 min walk from that station.....and maybe 700 m from the ruins (which has 3 entrances). My room was big and clean and had a balcony overlooking the church. The rooms are basic though, but I knew that.

One of the staff members were very impatient.. she started screaming at me when I asked her to heat the room because I was cold. They didn't know a word in English and weren't corporate to try other way like Google translate... More over the shower forset didn't work at all

The problem I had was with the owner (I guess) who locked the entrance door from the hotel so at 3 in the morning when I was coming home I had to ring, knock and call the reception for someone to open for me. At that point I was thinking am I even going to be able to sleep in my room that night. The owner did open in the end but it wasn't a comfortable situation to be in, for me to wake them up. They should have an established receptionist who is on call, I guess they do but they went to sleep.
How much I paid is how much I got, the bathroom was brand new but the rest of the furniture in the room no, but it was clean and comfortable. The location is just in the centre of Pompei.
