How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

Verified reviewThe accommodation was excellent and is owned by a wonderful host who is always ready to give advice and help with anything. The apartment was clean and cozy. It is just a short walk from the beach, the city center, and the shops.

The extra charge for the washing machine and dryer could be included in the daily apartment fee. No big deal

Verified reviewWe received a warm welcome despite our late arrival. Communication with the host was very good. The place was clean and generally nice with a terrace where you can comfortably enjoy the Italian sun. Basic amenities were provided with nice additions of great coffee, tea and some biscuits + jam, honey and cream. We were able to cook in the kitchen. The beach was only a 3 minute walk away.
The apartment is situated in a less well-maintained area of Nettuno, and although it is at a reasonable distance from the road, there is still some noise. Some items require attention, such as the entrance door, which could benefit from repair. Additionally, the kitchen lacked lids for pots and a spatula for pans. The bedroom was also missing a duvet cover. It would be beneficial if the internet could work at a faster speed without disconnecting.

I also have to say that I have to Zgtosic your behavior for how opscites the property, very dirty and with garbage bags everywhere and on the ground on the floor, when miates karte to throw waste into The right basket. Fortunately, such dirty people rarely happen

Verified reviewWe had a good stay in this apartment. Communication was good via booking and What’sApp worked well (with translation app). We were greeted very nicely at the apartment and received all the information we needed. You can walk near the beach to the city center - where most of the restaurants are located. We could even walk with luggage directly near the beach to the apartment (I reccomend this (if you come per train like we did), since taking the street is not a scenic route). In the city center you can find great pizza places - we loved Pizza Miranda and Pizzeria La Marciaronda. You will find „Le Streghe“ Ice Cream near the apartment (loved by locals) - it was a fun experience. We’ve had everything we needed in this apartment. I loved the sunrise on the balcony. The A/C worked great and is a must have when you come in August like we did.

Verified reviewA lovely and quiet apartment. The block is new and the furniture inside too. The bed and the mattress is comfortable for sleep. That’s was crucial for me. I liked the balcony it was really nice to spend some time there in the evening. Everything was clean. Especially I liked coffee in the morning which I could do thanks to a coffee machine and some capsules. We had a short stay with our 3 year old son to have some rest at the sea. There was a nice “Bella vista beach club” with amusements for kids in just 5 minutes walk. The centre is also in 5 minutes walk distance.
There were too old kitchen pots and frying pan.

Verified reviewVery nice apartment on the second floor of a new building. It is well equipped with everything you need. Nothing was missing. Car parking (free) is on the square and not far from the building. The beds are comfortable. The sea is close to the apartment, and the city center is a short walk away. We will come back here when we come to Nettuno.
