Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. The interior, location, convenience, hospitality of the host everything was so great! First time stayed at the apartment which has a 450 year of history, nevertheless it is perfectly renovated. Its six meters high ceiling and huge castle-like gate at the entrance create a special feeling like you’ve been time traveling with a Time Machine! The host is so kind and really does his best to make sure the stay of the guest would be an unforgettable experience! Would love to be back!

If you truly want to feel the heart of Naples, this is the place to stay! The apartment is beautifully designed, with great attention to detail. Every room — the living area, bathroom, and kitchen — was perfectly equipped and cared for. The host was incredibly kind and welcoming, always available, and full of helpful tips to make our stay even better. The atmosphere reflects a family that lives to share the spirit of Naples. The location is excellent — close to the sea and yet also near many beautiful sights. I visited with my two teenage daughters, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We wholeheartedly recommend staying here if you want to truly live Naples. You won’t regret it

Great location. Beautiful and thoughtfully decorated apartment, very well conserved. Amedeo, the host, is incredibly kind and attentive, engaged with the cultural promotion of Naples and he made our stay even more special.

That you have to pay 20€ for using the washing machine.
Everything! The apartment is spacious with huge ceilings, authentic decor, very clean with equipped kitchen and comfortable beds. The location is central but not too noisy. 15 min to port for catching a Capri or Ischia ferry, 15 min to via Toledo. You have 2 great restaurants 5 min away, a mini market and a bakery just around the corner. Amedeo is an exception host, our flight was delayed and we had to check in very late at night, he waited for us at the apartment, patiently explained everything about the place and was available on whatsapp for any question.

The Host (Amedeo) was excellent. He was there at the apartment ahead of my group, and was very attentive to all our needs throughout our stay in Napoli. He speaks good english and was able to help with ideas on where we could visit in Napoli. The apartment is newly renovated, very clean, spacious and has all that is required for us. We really enjoyed ourselves in this beautiful apartment.

There is nothing bad to say about the apartment. The only thing we could say is that you are given one set of keys that controls the power in the apartment and also unlock all the gates, so it was hard for our group to split up as we'd have to cut the electricity to let people out/in. But this was very minor and we could figure it out!
We were in Naples for a family wedding, and this apartment was perfect for our stay! Amedeo was very easy to communicate with and met us at the property even when our train was delayed by a few hours. He showed us around, answered our questions, checked in to make sure things were ok, and was always available to reach if we needed anything. The apartment was beautiful and spacious with modern finishes and huge cathedral ceilings in a beautiful area of Naples. Very clean space with everything we needed. We would definitely stay again!

What a wonderful property it was spotless and in a great location could not have asked for a better place to stay for our family of 4 adults. The weather wasn’t great for our stay it rained practically every day. lucky for us there were shops and restaurants very close within a few steps of the A.RI.EL. If you are planning a trip to Naples I would highly recommend the A.RI.EL luxury apartment.
