How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Cannot think of anything!
Welcome was warm and friendly, with the key pass left outside for us to pick up on arrival. Rooms were comfortable, great food in terrace restaurant, which we really enjoyed. Pizzas especially good. The level of cleanliness was exceptional. As we were leaving all the staff seemed to be undertaking a huge deep clean of kitchen, bar and dining room.. Most impressed.

The air con controls give off a blue light which was a bit disturbing during the night.
We were made to feel very welcome, with a decorated envelope containing the room key, and a card on the table we had booked in the dining room. It was a Sunday and the restaurant was pleasantly busy with other guests and plenty of local families eating the delicious food. The breakfast was also excellent. We will definitely be returning.

Location ok, but not much in walking distance and all other restaurants in the area closed on Wednesday too.
Good breakfast, clean & comfortable rooms, reasonable priced. Restaurant serves good food, such as pizza and pasta dishes, but closed on Wednesday.

the restaurant is closed on Wednesday and they didn’t tell us. most restaurants are closed nearby on Wednesdays. The bed was horribly uncomfortable!! 😥

We arrived at about 4pm and found an envelope with our room key outside the hotel so wernt quite sure at first whether we would like the hotel. We enjoyed a scenic walk around the area and came back to find the hotel a bit more open. One of the light bulbs in our room didnt work and also the lights by the bed wernt very bright at all so the room was rather dingy . We were given a replacement lightbulb which didnt match but was a lot brighter than the other one.
The breakfast was very good as were the pizzas.

NOT WORTH THE MONEY AT ALL, dingy,basic. and on a busy road. The lady at reception was very very rude I understand its their policy to take full payment as we really really did not want to stay there but she was so rude
It is partly our fault for not properly checking but the property is like a dark and dingy hostel by the side of a huge busy road, it would have been fine if it was at least half the price but it was very expensive for what it is. Very basic... we were looking forward to our stop and as soon as we arrived felt devastated by the state of the property and its busy road location , ( we have two small puppies so busy roads are not great for us) dont be fooled by the pictures that you will be somewhere calm in the mountains. I then pleaded with the very rude lady at reception as we really didnt want to stay there and she was so rude and unhelpfull. We would of been happy paying a fee just so we didnt have to stay there but she refused and wanted to take the whole amount so we were forced to stay there this ruined our trip completely.

The property is well located. The staff were exceptionally helpful. The breakfast was amazing. Everything was beyond my expectations of a 2 star hotel.
