The room didn’t have a mirror which we think is a must. We had some electricity problems in the room which they couldn’t solve as there was no technician due to Sunday but they promised they would solve after we left on Monday.

It has a perfect location, the staff is extreamly polite and helpful, beds are comfortable, the hotel is clean.

We received a few emails prior to our arrival from the hotel letting us know that there seemed to be issues with our advance payment for the room. This proved to be rather stressful for us as it left us worrying that we were going to arrive and find that our reservation was not being honoured. In fact, the hotel acknowledged that the issue was not ours but part of a security feature applied by our bank. We would suggest that the tone of the emails sent out prior to guests' arrival is amended and that there is a note to say that payment on arrival would be acceptable. The room was great but whilst there were coffee facilities, there was no tea or kettle available; my wife does not drink coffee. And the room walls are thin; we heard other guests talking, using their bathrooms and slamming their doors both very late at night and very early in the mornings.

The Art Hotel feels tucked away in a quiet street away from the hurly burly of the Spanish steps, and has a wonderful passageway lit with elegant lighting to guide the weary traveller to the doors (which open automatically as you approach them). The main reception/restaurant area is located in a beautiful part of the building which has been sympathetically decorated and has a good mix of modern and more traditional art works. The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming, and could not have been more helpful in helping us book a taxi to take us to the airport at the end of our stay. If you like a good range of options for breakfast, you will not be disappointed!

Rooms are built several stories high around a ground floor courtyard which acts like a sound chimney. Guests spending evenings in the courtyard often stayed late and even though we were staying on the 3rd floor we clearly heard their conversations, especially interesting were the business phone calls. No air conditioning until summertime (we stayed in May).

Unfortunately was huge problem with taxi. My checkout was at 5AM and it was real problem to get the taxi. I have asked hotel staff but they told me that can't help. So I had to run to Spanish Steps to find taxi there

Nice enough very small room but the walls are thinner than rice paper so be prepared to hear every footstep and every conversation

that I was over charged because you thought I was staying till Friday. You corrected my sister Miranda Bloch but did nothing for me and neither did booking.com whom I wrote to so many times and every time they told me to talk to the hotel. I felt badly treated by booking.com and the hotel, each refusing to take responsibility for their error and I’m annoyed that I had to pay for an extra night when I wasn’t even there.

The hotel is kind of small and a bit old.

The location is superb. It's central enough to most of the tourist attractions, but would need a car to get to from the airport. Good thing is it is quiet. Staff are so awesome, courteous, and professional
