Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Well located, short walk between the Coliseum and the Spanish Steps. 5 minute walk to Carvor Metro Station. Hotel sent us a list of restaurants close by which proved useful. Typical old world Italian hotel. Clean, comfortable and friendly staff.

The bathroom. The taps were broken and the shower was freezing cold.
The location was great and really close to all the attractions. The staff were welcoming and lovely. The room was clean and quiet.

Your photos about the room is completely different from the reality . The room is so narrow that there is even not a small table or desk . Cleaners enter your room even without knocking on the door .
The bathroom is clean , full of equipment and there is enough hot water .

Location was excellent, easy walking distance to Trevi fountain and Colosseum. A restaruant right next door, and coffee shops nearby. The studio room situated in a nearby building was super clean, with decent size shower, no shortage of hot water, plenty of cupboard space, and a very comfortable bed. Staff were exceptional, very friendly and helpful.

It is a little dated but knew that from pictures beforehand.
After check in, Carla sent us lots of ideas of where we could eat. Places were amazing and you’d never find otherwise. Shower was fabulous.

The late check in surcharge is a bit steep, but it was our mistake not noticing it when we booked. The staff charged us 30 EUR instead of 50 even though our flight got delayed, so that was nice of them.

Was a bit chilly in the first night
Very good location in a fair distance from tourist attractions. Plenty of restaurants just meters away, small grocery shop across the street. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Location, Location, location! Perfect place for sightseeing. Walking distance to every part of main Rome tourists attractions. Hotel nice and clean, very helpful staff. I highly recommend

Room was a little chilly. Staff gave us extra blankets..we think they forgot to turn heat on to the rooms as another couple also complained about their room being cold. When we ran into them several days after we left they said the hear was better and staff told them they had turned the heat on.

Bed was uncomfortable resulting in a massive lack of sleep . No coffee making facilities in room.
Bang in the middle of Rome and central to many attractions. Surrounded by restaurants and coffee shops. Staff were very welcoming and helpful. Large room and luxurious bathroom. Mostly clean

I could smell smoke from other guests or other people. And I could hear other people talking through the wall of the studio I was in.

At first when we arrived we were not able to find it. Cab driver not good to drop at location but Google maps to the rescue. After a little walk we located the office and found the room to be clean and efficient and the neighborhood to be so wonderfully located with quiet streets and beautiful restaurants. All close to coliseum. Perfecto! Staff was amazing and helpful and communicated via WhatsApp, recommending restaurants nearby.

The check-out is super early, compared to other hotels. Also, our room had a weird smell sometimes, it smelled like sewage. Maybe it's something from the bathroom, but we couldn't figure out what it was. Also, the beds were not that comfortable.
The rooms are quite big and have AC. The location is great - walking distance from all main sites, but also quiet at night.

Unfortunately, they don't serve breakfast.
It's a simple property, but very well located. Easy access to the metro stations and bus lines, and it's possible to go to many tourist spots on foot. It's nice and clean and the staff is very friendly.

Can't beat the location, and the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. When there was a problem with our air conditioner, they got somebody to fix it within an hour while we were out of the room. They also made great restaurant recommendations, and they helped with making some reservations for us. Could not ask for better staff!

No kettle
Location, location, location! Step out the door, look left and there is the Coliseum. Room configured for 3 beds, would have been much better for a couple with a double bed.
