Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

CanadaAt times the conversations in the common hallway easily travels into the private rooms. Quiet hours were well respected though.
Room was basic, small and clean. Fresh ground coffee provided along with access to a full shared kitchen. Most tourist spots were a 15 - 30 min walk away and for those who prefer the metro, the station was just around the corner and easy to use. Host was EXCELLENT and willing to provide support as needed including a large recommendation of places to visit for food/drink/gelato. Everything I tried on the provided list was excellent. The elevator was a bonus when needed as the unit is up several flights of stairs.

CanadaOur host Antonia met us at the accommodation and let us check in early. He gave us a great run down of the local neighbourhood and great places to eat. It was super quiet which was so nice after the business of Rome. The kitchen was fully equipped and had a great coffee maker.

GreeceThere was one thing that we didn't like much and that was the humidity of the apartment / shower. After showering the humidity stayed in even though we left the ventilation on and that affected the whole room causing a bit of a uncomfortable atmosphere while staying inside it.
Antonio, our host, was super friendly and was there always when we needed him. The location of the apartment was nice, the shared space was very clean and functional and the neighbourhood was quiet. Also, there were a few bars / restaurants close by so in the night we did not have to go very far. The shower had hot water when needed without manual actions, air conditioning worked very quickly and the Netflix account came in handy.

AlbaniaThe other rooms were a bit noisy but I'm sure it's not the host's fault. Probably the guests were a bit too loud.
The location was great and the ambience of the place was very cozy. Antonio was an amazing host and was always ready to assist me with whatever I needed!

CanadaWonderful place to stay. Close to subway stop so easy to get everywhere. Lots of thoughtful, convenient details- the kitchenette, coffee maker, umbrellas at the door. All the little things that are so helpful when traveling. Antoska was so friendly and helpful- thank you for the great welcome and restaurant recommendations. I tried many of them and they were all excellent. I would definitely stay again if back in Rome.

RussiaVery cozy, clean place. You can walk to all attractions. There is not far from the train station. There is everything you need: in the room - an iron, a water jug (you can drink from the tap), glasses and cups, a kettle. An iron and ironing board are also available for general use. Shared kitchen with everything you need. The hosts are very welcoming. Manager Antonio told us a little about the history of the city and people, about the must-see places and where to eat the best food. I highly recommend the place!

United States of AmericaThe beds are quite firm. A foam memory pillow is on each bed, which seemed quite firm to me also. Alternative pillows are provided, but they were not of the best quality. Thankfully I always carry a quality travel pillow, so I was able to sleep. We were in Room 1, which has a bit of noise from the street, and also the adjoining neighbors next door, but we were not in the room very often, so it did not affect our stay too much.
The Manager Antonio was excellent. He communicated very quickly, and gave us a wonderful overview of the facility and the neighborhood upon our arrival. The facility was so clean, bright, and new. The small shared kitchen and the refrigerator in the room were a great addition to our stay.

New ZealandAntonio was an excellent host who greeted us with a very detailed description of the local area and places to visit in other areas of Rome. He was friendly and helpful. The room was quite small but comfortable. The small kitchen allowed for guests to prepare and eat simple meals if required. There were plenty of restaurants in the local area. The underground was 2 minutes walk away.

AustraliaThe lock on the street door was hard open. The property could have been cleaner. Minor maintenance issues were reported to host.
The property was as described - about a 15 min walk to Termini, 15 mins to Colosseum, about 35 to Trevi. Metro stop nearby, as are supermarkets and restaurants. Our host was very informative, gave us good recommendations for restaurants etc. The room was small, the kitchen was useful as was the washing machine. Nice views from rooftop. Wifi was good. About 15 steps to lift.

United States of AmericaThere are about 5 stairs that you have to carry your luggage up as you enter the lobby. It was okay for my friend and I but if you’re carrying a 45 pound bag and you’re not very strong then it can be a huge problem.
