Room small, bathroom even smaller. Had leak from sink and dryer hose was broken. Had to change rooms initially as room safe was broken. Had air con but not that good when 30 degrees. Breakfast was ok but limited choice and no hot food. General lounge area had items in it that were not removed during our 3 day stay. Hotel a bit dated as was furniture.

Location was great right beside the lake and near to shops and restaurants. Had a 4th floor rooftop space for sunbathing. Breakfast room overlooked lake.

If you make a reservation on booking.com, you are charged 10 Euro per day for parking. But on their own website and if you book direct parking is free! They 'discounted' my parking to 5 Euro per day..how generous! Breakfast was basic but adequate.

Great location; a few minutes walk and you are in the centre of Desenzano. Friendly staff. Basic room, but functional and clean, was good value for the price

My first night was in a room next to the elevator. It was very loud and disturbing. I asked for a different room and the staff was very understanding and helpful. I was offered a different room, which even had a nice lake view.

Wonderful view. Very helpful and kind staff. Good breakfast. Very good restaurant next door.

A little cold in the room as nearing the end of the season.

Lovely hotel in a great location directly opposite the beach and Lake Garda. Very helpful friendly staff. Comfortable clean bedroom. It is a good three star hotel. Close to great restaurants, bars and boats and buses. Highly recommended for a no frills hotel stay.

Breakfast could have a little more variety. Plastic glasses were not replaced from Wednesday through to Monday, I think that could be improved for hygiene reasons.

The staff were very helpful. They moved us to a bigger room as we were staying for six nights. The new room had a lovely view of the lake that was only slightly obscured by trees, but very pleasant all the same. Great location for both beaches. There was also a few restaurants and a great little mini market, which was useful for getting drinks for the day ahead. Pleasant breakfast with great coffee.

Very basic room with uncomfortable beds. Bathroom is adequate and clean but they use some strong cleaning chemicals so the smell is almost unbearable. Breakfast is served in the lobby which is very awkward. Some choices for breakfast but nothing special. Coffee is terrible (so strange in Italy) and lady serving coffee and cleaning tables rather unpleasant and rude.

Excellent location right on the lake shore, close to very nice town center. Staff at reception very polite and efficient, smooth check-in and check-out. Good for stopover I would not recommend for longer stays.

    Longer holiday!!

The staff at the hotel were so friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. We even got offered a lift to the station on a Sunday by the hotel owner in her own car. We were leaving for an early flight home and the man on reception overnight sorted our breakfast for us. The reception staff sorted out tickets for the Opera in Verona for my wife and friend. They also sorted out printing of items for myself which I had ordered on line. Hotel is across the road from the lake beach. Traffic noise is not too bad during the night. Rooms kept spotlessly clean every day.Easy to get too all the transport links around Lake Garda. Well worth using public transport around the lake and not very expensive. Superb holiday and a big thank you to all the staff at Hotel Aurora. If we come back to the area again will definitely stay here.

Room for 4 persons was situated on the highest floor, which was definately nice when it comes to views and being further away from the relatively lively promenade. Still two downsides must be mentioned. "Air-condition motor" of the building is situated directly above the room, on the roof, so the continuous humming and vibration can make you feel like being in a cabin of a ferry. Room is next to a staircase leading up on the roof where there is a terrace for hotel guests. Group of holiday makers climbing up the stairs in the middle of the night with their bottles and glasses may wake you up.

The weather was very bad and cold and the heating wasn't work in the hotel, so the room was like a refrigerator! The normal blanket was extremely thin (like in Italy) and the extra blanket from the wardrobe was dusty and dirty... The breakfast was also very poor. I guess in high season everything is better... Be careful with the parking lot, because it's very narrow and it hasn't got enough space for all guests.
