Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomWe loved everything just bear in mind you have to walk about 15 minutes up to the train station to get around, which we didn't mind and you have to tap on and tap off with your card at the train stations so it doesn't charge you the maximum fare 😊
We loved everything about this place. When you walk in from the road it is beautiful! Olga was the best host, she gave us lots of helpful advice regarding visiting local places and she made delicious breakfasts. The house is like an Italian mansion with many original features and furniture, we just loved it. Our family room was huge and the bathroom was lovely. The best part aside from the beautiful room was the pool, there are only a few rooms so most of the time we had the pool to ourselves or just one other family there. My son loved all the animals too, we hope to return here one day as we all really loved it.

FranceIf you don't have a car it's a bit difficult to find walking distance restaurants for lunch or dinner but the villa provides bbq facilities and with the local supermarket you can buy yourself anything and use the bbq at the villa which we really enjoyed.
The villa was beautiful and Manuel and Olga were lovely hosts. The bedroom was spacious and clean. And the pool was a god send especially on really hot days. The villa was central to all our excursions (pompei, vesuvius and herculaneum).

NetherlandsBe aware that the road to arrive can be difficult - very narrow streets with two-way directions. Once you reach the place, you forget about this.
A lovely place with a unique ambiance that takes you back in time. The green surroundings and well-preserved spaces create a peaceful atmosphere. Rooms are very comfortable and spotless. The breakfast was one of the best we had in this part of Italy. I only wish I had known earlier—I would’ve stayed longer!

United KingdomThe Via del monte train station is only a 10 minute walk, but it is unmanned meaning you have to purchase tickets from tobacco shop which was not a problem, it just meant downloading the train app, as at the station there's no way of knowing what train was arriving and where to. Also no English signs and hardly anyone spoke English, thank god for Google translate! Also the restaurants in this area don't open for dinner untill 7/7.30pm
The house is just beautiful, both Manuel and Olga were lovely and very helpful! Clean and tidy everywhere! Such a nice quiet place to stay and relax after a few busy days exploring the sites near by.

BelgiumMaybe the soundproofing that wasn't that good.
The environment is very nice (terrace, swimmingpool,..). It's very calm and relaxing. The staff was very welcoming, considerate and very generous. Breakfasts for the first two days offered. A point of honor for the cleanliness of the places and rooms that were cleaned every day.

United KingdomThere is nothing we didn't like. Everything was perfect.
AN AMAZING TRIP AND ONE WE SHALL NEVER FORGET. The host Manuel had arranged our pick-up from the airport. Salvatore arrived in plenty of time to pick us up and he even text us to let us know he was waiting. Salvatore was super friendly and chatty in the car, telling us about the B&B Villa and the family history behind it. Upon arrival, Manuel was standing outside, waiting to meet and greet us. Manuel was an excellent host, the Villa was traditionally kept as it should be for a beautiful 500yr old building. Relaxing and unassuming, extremely clean and comfortable surroundings. The Villa is an excellent location for guests who are wanting to travel and see the popular sights of Italy. Central to the local train station and shops. Olga the wonderful housekeeper, extremely helpful to us in organising our trips and serving us a wholesome breakfast each morning, with freshly squeezed orange juice from the garden. Our room was very comfortable and spacious with a large en suite bathroom. Our balcony was very large with the beautiful view of the garden and in the distance we could see the volcano. We couldn't have wished for a better stay. Thank you so very much.

United KingdomEverything about the B&B was lovely! We didn't find the area surrounding the B&B that interesting or picturesque and if you go in a national holiday period be prepared for lots of restaurants etc to be closed!
Manuel & Olga were really welcoming, ensured we were well looked after and gave us some good tips for local attractions and places to visit. Breakfast was amazing, the gardens are beautiful and tranquil and the pool area was lovely and secluded. Really well placed for visits to Pompeii, Vesuvius, Amalfi Coast and other local attractions.

GermanyThe access roads to the accommodation are small and dirty, but that is not the fault of the accommodation, but of the area.
The house is a little older, which you can tell from the room furnishings, but it has a very nice charm. The garden is very relaxing (there are lots of animals here, including turtles) and the pool is very large. Manuel and Olga are very friendly hosts, we felt very welcome. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful, as was dinner on request. Our arrival and departure times were taken into account. The communication before arrival was very good.
