How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

The shower was extremely small ( functional at best) Air Conditioner only cooled where the bed is. The remainder of the room and bathroom were hot We were not told we had to maintain the jug that was catching the condensation from the A/C. It over flowed and our back pack was soaked and pictures from our recent cruise were ruined and paperwork damaged. The toilet stopped working on our last morning. We had to use the water jug from the A/C to flush the toilet. The TV is mounted on the wall above the wardrobe and the bottom portion of the screen was not visible. Bed was very low to the floor.

no shampoo, soap provided. aircon was too noisy and was leaking. My partner got sick due to the fact that the a/c was just beside the bed.
Hello Mary, thank you for your review. I want just clarify few things: It's not true that you haven't any soap in the bathroom, you have shower gel/shampoo in the shower and handsoap close the sing. Regarding the ac, you have a tank on the bottom.of the ac.machine where the water goes in and I say to all the guest to inform me when the tank is full or i show them.how.they can.empty it. It was enough asking. I really don't understand the fact that you hasn't claimed.for.nothing during the stay and wait just the end of the stay to reclaim about stupid things that.could be fix during the stay if you notice that to me.

Verified reviewLocation is very convenient, Coliseum is 20 min walking, very close to the subway station. Around the apartment there are some supermarkets, restaurants and coffee shops. The bed is comfortable and there is AC. It has everything we needed.
Room was a bit too small, there was not a lot of space to open our luggages. Shower box is also very small, for tall people it will be a problem, for us it was ok, but even though, small.

Check-in wasn't easy. I had to wait about 20 minutes for the host to arrive and open the door. Very small and uncomfortable bathroom, impossible to turn around inside the box of the shower. Also uncomfortable pillows and sheets.

Shower was very small, very hard to move around. Aircon was very loud and remote batteries had runout so had to unplugs from wall to turn off. I don’t know for certain but I think the aircon was leaking which ended up wetting my bag.

Probably a broom would be handy to keep in the room to use it during the stay.

Verified reviewThe location is perfect, the metro is just around the cornet and lets you move from place to place in minutes. Connection to Termini is also super quick. Giuseppe is a great host, with recommendations ready to go and always checking in if all is okay and if anything further is needed like fresh towels, toiletries, etc. Could not recommend the place more! It was also quiet, with great Wi-Fi!

Verified reviewGiuseppe is very kind and he helped us about everything we need or request. All recomendation for him! Location is very good, metro station and bus stations that lead you through the city are very close. Apartment is clean and have everything you need.
The only thing we didn't like was noise from outside door of apartment. We were in the room 1, so all the people that have to enter in other apartments need to pass next to our door and we can hear them from our room.
