The staff was very friendly, we came with the dog and they were friendly with him. We got a nice room and the location was perfect for what we wanted to see. Additionally, the pizzeria was very good, we ordered 2 pizzas to our room (no additional charges). I will recommend this place 100%

The pictures of the room werent accurate. In the reservation we had two seperate beds and a double bed, we got 2x double beds. Also the air condition is really faulty, it worked, but it makes a lot of noise.

We liked the location, easy to find, no problem with parking. The restaurant in the hotel good and the breakfast tasty.

I heard that the eggs served at breakfast were boiled eggs, but I was disappointed because they were raw eggs.

The room was very nicely decorated and comfortable. The parking lot was spacious and easy to use, and the view of the lake in front of me was very nice. The dinner was excellent, and the breakfast menu was excellent, and I had a comfortable time.

1. I booked the 'Superior triple room with Lake View Terrace', so was quite disappointed to find that our lake view was *only* the terrace; it required us to go out onto the [shared] terrace to see the lake at all. More disappointing was that other rooms had direct forward-facing view of the terrace/lake so why we got the 'crappy' version, I'm not sure. For info, Room 106 sits on the corner and has both forward (lake-wise) and side windows/lighting so that's the one to ask for if booking in future. 2. The hotel's location is true to its name 'Grotto' - it sits up against a hill facing northwards, so gets no sun at all the entire day, though maybe in the middle of summer there is something in early morning/late evening. I arrived at 14:00 and we left around midday the next day, and not once was there any hope at all of getting any sun on that nice lake-facing terrace.

First, hotel staff were great. Always very helpful and did everything they could to assist. Second, big terrace facing the lake on two sides of the building is a massive attraction; they could have turned this into more rooms and have larger capacity. Really nice to have this space though. We ate at the hotel restaurant and ordered quite a lot of food. Every dish we ordered was quite delicious, especially the *massive* rib-eye which was also incidentally cooked to perfection. Breakfast in the morning was good, nice variety of cereals, cakes, croissants, juices, and good coffee delivered by the staff. Parking easy and extensive, although the entry and exit of the parking were a little uneven/bumpy, could be improved/flattened.
