Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

CanadaEverything! Excellent staff, easy access to main tourist attractions, central location, safe and clean building (especially as a solo female traveler), and good access to airport shuttle and public transit. I was in Rome for a concert - Miguel gave me tons of helpful information to get to/from the stadium, as well as for when I was exploring the city. My room was very comfortable and well appointed. I will definitely stay here again the next time I am in Rome!

A well equipped, really clean room with a super comfortable bed and Michele was the most helpful and pleasant host. Was really quiet too, despite its great location in Prati.

Both hosts were very helpful, offering us information and recommendations! The room was cozy, very clean and had all we needed. The neighbourhood was very pretty, quiet, with lots of restaurants and shops, while just a short walk to the Vatican city. Definitely recommended!

United StatesI was lucky to stay in between holidays so it was quiet, but rooms are very close to each other inside a small apartment, so depending on guests, it might get noisy. No overnight reception desk attendant, but reachable by phone.
Nice neighborhood, well connected by public transportation. Room was small but comfortable. Fabio and Michele were very helpful and recommended places to eat and buses.

UkraineA fantastic place in a wonderful location, walking distance to almost every Rome attraction you may want to visit, but in a lovely, quiet area. Michele was incredibly welcoming and helpful, and the hotel itself was everything you want it to be - very comfortable, clean and modern. I had a fantastic time in Rome and cannot think of a better place to stay in the city.

United Arab EmiratesI recently had the pleasure of staying at Bed and Best in Rome, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. Communication and Check-In: Prior to my arrival, the communication was highly professional. My request for an early check-in was promptly granted and communicated in advance, which made my travel plans much smoother. Upon arrival, the check-in process was seamless, and the staff welcomed me warmly, setting a positive tone for my stay. Room and Amenities: The room was perfectly sized for my needs, featuring brand-new furnishings maintained to the highest standards. The cleanliness was impeccable; I was pleasantly surprised to find the room cleaned daily, with the bed neatly made and fresh towels provided. The attention to detail was evident, with three types of towels available: a large one for the body, a hair towel—crucial for those who wish to cover their hair during a shower or need to dry it—and a small hand towel. This level of consideration is often overlooked in other accommodations. Despite the compact space, the inclusion of a Shatafa next to the toilet was a thoughtful touch, enhancing the overall comfort of the room. Staff and Service: The staff’s friendliness and attentiveness truly set Bed and Best apart. When I required additional hangers, they were provided immediately. The daily cleaning service exceeded my expectations, with the floor wiped and all amenities refreshed without me having to request it. Location: The location of Bed and Best is absolutely perfect. Situated directly on Via Cola di Rienzo, the main shopping street in the Prati district, it’s just a short walk from the Vatican Museums and St. Peter’s Square. The area is abundant with restaurants, providing ample dining options. With the Lepanto and Ottaviano metro stations about 7 or 8 minutes away, accessing public transportation is convenient, making it easy to visit friends and explore the city.

AustraliaThe only slight challenge we had was the sound proofing, as we could hear other guests quite clearly. But this was very minor, and the stay over all was exceptional!
Absolutely everything, it’s a beautiful place in a lovely part of Rome.

United StatesLike many old cities, the smell from the drain in the bathroom was not pleasant when I came in, but the fan inside the bathroom and closing the door to the bathroom (and the open window) soon took care of it.
The most comfortable bed in a hotel I have stayed at in a long time! Wish it had been for more than one night! Also, so nice to have an electric tea kettle and espresso machine in the room! Even my “fancy” hotel for the rest of my stay didn’t have that. The little breakfast cakes, the recycling bins- everything was so thoughtfully done. The window was open when I came in for some fresh air as well, and the check-in/out was super easy. The best part was definitely Fabio! The friendliness and helpfulness of the proprietor was the cherry on top! I’ll be back!

Czech Republic1. The entrance to the hotel rooms is a little bit hidden in the building. If you are not greeted by the hosts at the entrance for the first visit it may seem confusing. 2. The shower head in our room was worn out.
The hosts were absolutely great, extremely kind and very helpful. Our room was well prepared and clean. Location of the hotel is also very convenient for walking trips around Rome center. Overall we highly recommend!

TurkeyFabio might be the best host in all the places I've visited. He stopped all his work and tried to help us even for our simplest questions. Our room was very clean. We did not experience anything disturbing. The location of any hotel in Rome cannot be advantageous for visiting the whole city, so we cannot say that bed and best is the most advantageous facility, but its location is quite good for a certain region of Rome (vatican, castel sant'angelo, villa borghese, etc.). You can also reach other touristic places such as Fontana di Trevi and Pantheon by bus passing in front of the hotel. If you want to walk, you can return from many tourist places on foot. There are also very nice restaurants in the area, where locals eat and are not tourist traps. Since the price is affordable too, you can stay here without hesitation.

SwedenThe only thing that won't get the highest grade from me is the shower which has few spots of mold on the walls and sometimes there is a unpleasant smell in the bathroom, but it is something to do with the building's sewerage system, I believe. Fabio has tried to fix it with a ventilator in the bathroom, but sometimes, maybe in very hot days, you can still smell it. But if you just close the door to the bathroom it is all good.
The location was perfect for me. Away from the tourist madness but still waking distance to everything. Very nice quarter, safe, full of shops and restaurants. A pleasure to walk around and admire the beautiful buildings and feel a bit like a local. Fabio is such a nice host, very helpful and ready to accommodate any needs. Same with Sonia (?) the lady taking care of the apartment. Extremely nice people. The apartment was clean and fresh, even if tiny, located in a beautiful building. There is an elevator in the building which made my life much easier.
