How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Very tired and dated which is a shame as the location is great (for business travel not leisure). Incredibly hot with the temperature control just making more noise and no cooling. TV the size of a laptop computer screen.

Breakfast was ok, there was diversity but not a lot of quality.
Super nice staff, specially Isabella!! Very clean, near the airport. Even if the structure is old everything works and is clean.

The room is outdated. The air conditioner failed to cool the room. felt suffocated.

Great hotel if you just need a sleep over. Close to the high way which is very convenient. But wouldn’t choose it for more days than one.

It is a bit old, might need some refurbishment. It is not a place to spend the holiday in.
The hotel was on a fast road and that was what we needed for that night as we landed to Bari airport at 22:00, then had to wait at the car rental so we arrived at the hotel late. We just needed somewhere to sleep not far from the airport and this hotel was on the perfect location for our needs. The next day we were right on the fast road to Polignano where we were going. The brekfast was ok.

The breakfast was not good. There was some variety but the hot food quantity and selection was poor. The menu for dinner also was not good. The location was a bit out of the way but we did know that when we booked.
The hotel was comfortable and I liked the design, modern and clean.

The location is not great as you def need to use a taxi to get to the center (25 EUR 1 direction).
The staff was great and really helpful during our stay - we had issues with rental car booking and the receptionist did his best to assist. Thanks again for your kindness! The rooms are basic, breakfast is excellent.

.Very noisy airco, so we first put it on max for a few hours to have the room cooled and then switched it off for the rest of the night.
Staff was very friendly and helpful. Our family room was a bit outdated, but really spacious and clean and I liked the hard beds. Breakfast buffet with vast choice.

Room furniture is outdated and must be renewed, moquette to be removed, heating system to be improved; doing these things, everything will be 5stars! Dinner starts too late for my standards, it's done in two shifts even if they're plenty of room, probably because COVID restrictions.
Room is quite and clean, even if room furniture is old. Very professional and kind staff, good meals, breakfast can be improved but ok for the price.

Horrible breakfast! Don't believe the photos you find on Booking, it's an absolute shame. I have never seen such an awful breakfast - even during covid, they could have set up an attended buffet. Instead everything is wrapped in plastic: tiny pieces of cold omelette, cold boiled eggs, cold bread, cold everything. Absolutely no hot food!
Extremely kind and helpful staff, I would rate them 20/10 if I could. Even if the furniture is old, it's very well kept and very clean.
