Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

CanadaDinner at the restaurant was convenient, however it took a long time to be served. Steak was very overdone. Breakfast was underwhelming, coffee was not good. Our room 115 had a musty smell to it.
Great location to stay at before heading to our cruise. Hotel offered a shuttle to the Port and the driver was very very nice! My daughter liked watching the cats that live on the property.

SpainThe room smelt fusty and damp we opened the patio door to get rid of the smell. Outside was a wall with rendering all falling off. And it hadn't been swept. Glad we were only staying 1 night. Definitely not a 4 star.
Pick up from the airport they offered. Meal in the hotel was good in the evening. Breakfast was OK. Shuttle bus to port.

United Statesthere is really nothing around the hotel itself. unfortunately it was extremely warm and walking far wasn't an option and it was a Sunday afternoon
Breakfast was adequate, dinner was very good and the room itself was decent but the bathroom needed some repair work, the ceilings paint was peeling off, the directions for receiving tv audio in english were vague so we had to ask and then figure it out ourselves. To make the lighting in the room work you need to use your room key in the wall device, however that means when you leave the room you need to take the key out, when we asked for a second key we were denied

United StatesEvery thing was fine, the property is a bit away from the port and it’s not easily walkable. But the staff was more than happy to transport us for a very reasonable fee.
The staff was exceptional. They were helpful, informative, and friendly. The food at the restaurant was fantastic. The rooms were comfortable and clean.

United KingdomNothing to really disappoint, bearing in mind that it is a long established family business, who are clearly having to operate in an intense environment with pressure on costs.
This is a family run business in a quiet area near the sea. A bit oldie worldie, but everything was fine. Breakfast was adequate, obviously suiting local tastes more than international. We opted for the inhouse dinner on the one night we stayed there. Either a two choice set menu or a la carte. We chose the set menu and it was very good. Room was very quiet and adequate for a one night stay. We also opted for the hotel pick-up at Rome Airport for the one hour journey to the hotel. We found Carlo, the driver, straight away and he drove expertly to Civitavaecchia. The hotel also provides a shuttle service to the Port, which Marcello managed on an extremely busy day at the Port. Several ships were in at the same time, which made the local roads very congested and slow. Thank you to one and all for a great prelude to our cruise.

AustraliaWe asked for twin beds but they were a little narrow. However they were comfortable and all good. Water in the shower sprayed outside the cubicle but not really a problem. Nothing to complain about really.
The restaurant was awesome. Breakfast also great. Loved the ocean view from our bedroom. Staff were exceptionally obliging, picking us up from the boat and dropping us off at the airport. Great place to stay when flying out the next day. Saved lot of money by not travelling back into Rome and out again. We were dropped into the city which was fabulous shopping and dining then very easy to catch bus directly back to hotel. Great place to stay. Thanks for the wonderful hospitality.

- The place was quiet and felt secure. - The parking place I give a big plus. For just 5 euro, you get a closed secure place for the car and the items. Really good. - The room we got in the mainhouse was very ok. Like the photos. (Maybe some small updates might be ok.. but it was anyhow a good standard due to the price! ) - We slept well in good beds - Bathroom well equipped. - Silent area. - Dogs welcomed for a small amount of euro. Thank you very much! I could go out in the yard with my baby dog at night! <3 thank you! - We needed refrigerator at the room because of our dog special food. Thank you. - The breakfast was ok. All what we needed ..compared with the room price. If we wanted something more.. it might have been more dark fresh bread and small metallic spoons for the cooked eggs. We do not eat a lot of sugar and chokolade in the mornings. We are.. Nordic.. You.. who have some content to art! Look at the beautiful relief, of metall all around the place... the artist is the owner!! An artist of class! A master of that difficult art. REALLY! Thank you for all what we got for a reasonable price.

LuxembourgThe room is not sound proof so you can hear everything but once the restaurant closed at 10pm it was quiet. We didn't have the "sea view" confirmed in the booking....we were on the ground floor and had a wall but for one night that's okay
Friendly staff, very comfortable bed and everything we needed for a one night stay. It was important for us to have onsite parking and that dogs be accepted so we were happy from this point of view. We had dinner in the restaurant and the food was very tasty and cooked well.
