There were lots of ants in my room and a leaking radiator. The check in system was slightly strange - having to check in at another hotel then walk 10 minutes to find the room. It was quite expensive considering there was no tea/coffee and no on site staff.

Great location, comfortable room with a lovely view from the window. The staff at the ‘sister’ hotel were friendly.

Venice - if you are looking very good quality for avarage price - do not expect too much. Room is ok, not perfect. Mosquitos... bzzzzzz not good at all.

If you are in Venice, and looking for not so expensive place, with good location - go for it. For one or two nights is perfect. You know - venice is an old city and all hotels are old and... rooms too. So. we did not expect superb conditions, so we get what we want. Good, tidy room in a perfect location. 24 h access and lift. Very good communication with reception desk. Tide and clean. Old school style.

There is a very weird check-in process that requires you to walk 20 mins (in total one way an return) walk to another hotel. This could be easily automated. Besides that water in shower was warm, not hot which in cold days may irritate a bit.

Not being able to check in at the hotel (we had to go to a different one to pick up the keys), nor to leave our luggage exactly at Ca' dei Polo was a downside.

Very comfortable position, 3 mins from the S. Lucia train station, in S. Croce area. Relatively quiet, close to a couple of really nice restaurants and bacari. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Very clean and quiet room.

This isn't a complaint but more of a comment as we already knew the situation. Checking in is at a sister hotel. When you have cases, it's a little frustrating. Getting to the accommodation is, like much of Venice, difficult, in that many of the canal bridges aren't good for wheeled cases. You either carry, or use one of the many porters offering their services, or a taxi boat if the hotel is suitably placed. We did it ourselves. It was worth the sweat. There weren't enough clothes hangers in the wardrobe (3). Their is a lovely terrace on the roof. Historically you could take breakfast there. Now the operation doesn't have onsite staff or breakfast. The plants on the terrace are dying. There is a kettle in what was the kitchen area but no cups. We made our own arrangements. It's a lovely spot ... and such a waste. The view over the canal was a bonus. But the delivery boats which obviously use the canals and supply the hotels and restaurants etc were noisy quite early in the morning. Not necessarily frustrating as getting up early to make the most of your Venice stay is useful.

The location was central and just far enough away from the main tourist walkway. The room was spacious and had a view of one of the canals. The bed was very comfy. There was lift access. A good place to eat nearby for breakfast. There was a nice terrace to sit out on (but see my comments on what could be improved). Venice is an expensive place. This was good value and spacious. The room was spotless.

Aircon was not great and left the room a little stuffy but it was very hot outside. Front door could use a sign stating to push the button hard and after pull the handle hard, 3 groups all found same problem.

Suite was amazing, especially for a free upgrade. Staff were friendly. Rooftop terrace was also amazing after dark. Processco, sliced meats and cheese with a view!

We had to check-in at another property to get our keys. The other hotel was around a 10 minute walk which doesn’t sound much but in the heat with heavy suitcases and two children - it was inconvenient.

Our only complaint would be the drain in shower needs fixing!! The shower itself was good but the water was not going down the drain quickly, so it would fill up. That was a bit gross as your feet would be soaking also was afraid it would spill out onto the bathroom floor.

The room was spacious and clean. Great there was a fridge to put bottles of drinks. Room was nice and cool on arrival which was fantastic as the walk from the bus terminal is decent.

- no slippers - they wrote(i missed) but going to another hotel (walking about 8-10min) for check-in was a bir strange - nobody at the otel for check-in or support
