It was quite old and needs a renovation. Room was very warm and I could not turn radiator off. If I had paid half what I paid then fair enough but it was not good value for money. Toiletries were not refreshed so I ran out before stay finished.

Great central location however I did not stay in the property I booked. When I turned up I was taken to Hotel Airone which was 4-5 doors down which I did not expect before arrival.

I didnt have a good welcome from a member of the staff. He was desperate to leave his work, and not happy to see another guest. He spoke to me without making eye contact. I was hungry and he told me that everywhere was closed outside , but that was not true because I found sandwiches and drinks nearby. To make matters worse I wanted to have a relaxing hot shower as I was very tired, and the shower hit my head !! I didnt know it was broken !!

The layout of the hotel was a bit strange, to access the room we had to exit the hotel foyer, go up towards the bridge, around the corner and through an alternate entrance and into a seating area, then up two flights of stairs. This side of the hotel seemed worn, especially in the communal areas. Breakfast was a bit of a let down, the toast maker did not work correctly as it was a health grill- you need to purchase a toaster. The coffee was not nice and there was no orange juice, i told a member of staff who said 'i cant help'. Choice and selection was lacking. In the bathroom, it had been cleaned but the attnetion to detail was lacking as they had clearly painted over grout or regrouted and you could feel the build up on the walls, really bad filling in around the bath also, plus the bathroom stunk because of drain backflow so we ended up keeping the door closed and light on to extract the smell (light was linked to extracter fan), we did not feel clean because the bathroom felt dirty. The beds were really uncomfortable and there was an exposed old telephone junction box uncovered (cover was found in the drawer). I got the impression they were in process of refurb, the hotel badly needs this.

The location of the hotel was perfect for the station. The position of the room was nice as twin aspect overlooking the grand canal. The decor in the room, although dated had a real classic feel, which was effective. There was a male manager working on the afternoon/evening of our second day, he was very helpful and definately went above and beyond to make us feel welcome.

Not much, it was good value. However, when we opened the door it smelled a little bit of chlorine.

Breakfast was good. Location was good, close to station and 25 minute walk to the center. Venice itself is an old city and the hotel carried its old Italian charm throughout.

Decor is quite old. Hotel really needs renovation with furniture upgrade, paint/wall paper, cosmetic changes. Bathrooms need to be upgraded. Rooms need more power sockets, charging points. Room size just ok. Need to work on cleanliness in rooms as well as in corridors.

Nice canal view ! Very friendly, cheerful and friendly staff. Location near train station and not so far from coach station.

Dirty corners. Looking for a plug to charge our phones we moved the bedside tables to a lot of dust and dirt and empty open holes in the wall where the plug should be. Clear that the cleaning crew only took care of the “visible” part of the room. The shower was horrible, it had leaks that threw cold water in your face when turning it on.. it’s ok for a hotel to be old and show it. But it’s not ok for it to be dirty and have bad maintenance on pretty basic things. My advice to the hotel would be: Move the furniture for cleaning, cover the holes in the walls, change the shower heads from time to time.

Decent breakfast and decent room. For a last minute booking, it was good enough for the price we paid. It’s just enough for a short time stay. Staff was nice and helpful. Nice view of the canal from the balcony.

Heating was a problem - I turned the air conditioner and tried all buttons. And there was no duvet, just two small blankets, which probably weren’t clean. We got cold, which kind of ruined our next day. Hairdryer stopped working, reception could not provide a portable one. Had we known in advance, at least would not wash our hair 🤦🏻‍♂️

Hotel is close to railway station and 18 min walk from bus station - good location to drop your luggage and start exploring Venice. Breakfast was good.

Needs more selection at breakfast. We booked two rooms, one was a nice size but the other was quite small. Whole hotel really needs a little bit of money spending on it, not massive amounts just phone charging stations, Wonky furniture etc etc.

Great location from P Roma bus stop. Near many restaurants. Near train station. Comfy beds. Staff all seemed friendly.

Never opened the doors and they charge the bill. But Finally, after having explained the situation, they returned the money and the hotel took care of the case. Do not arrive late at night in Venice, many hotels do not open the door. Thanks to the canal hotel for solving the problem.

But we was in November and there was very cold, we kindly ask manager to help us with that problem But he told that they have not heaters, and air condition was not working on hot mode.

The decor is tired and the hotel really needs a make over

The location and cost were fantastic. The low price was slightly reflected in the tired looking interior and sub standard breakfast. But the staff were lovely, and the room and bed fine. We had a canal view for €100. In Venice I can imagine that’s hard to find!

A hotel with an excellent location. It has older equipment, there is a leak in the hotel and there is mold in some places. The price corresponds to the quality. The breakfast was good and the staff is pleasant.

Very bad Wi-Fi. And the worst breakfast which I had. There is no reason to provide this kind of free breakfast if it is so bad.

very old and tierd, things broken like lights hanging of the walls, curtains hanging off, air conditioning didnt get cold so the room was unbearable, marks of curtains and bathrooms grouting was shocking looked like a child had had a go.

It’s abit run down looking (but I think this is the same with most of Venice). The breakfast was very basic.
