Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaThe location of the hotel is great. Close to metro and close to the historic center. The building itself is a gem and very nicely renovated. The room would get very quiet once you closed the door so we had a good night sleep. The staff were also very friendly and accommodating. We had the breakfast for one of days and it was convenient and we were not in rush so we were ok with any delays.

IrelandNow this was special, staying in what was a palace. Don’t expect too much by way of modern , this is old style! You can almost feel the past in the halls.

We enjoy our stay there. The family is very friendly. They even provide a bigger and better room for us without extra charge. The room is comfortable with high ceiling and quiet when we close the door . The location is great. Although located in the heart of Naples, We didn’t hear any noise from the street at night. Highly recommended!!

ItalyThe breakfast was the only thing I had a problem with. My coffee tasted stale, which gave my mouth a bad taste at the start of the day and although the owner agreed to serve bacon and eggs, what I was given was scrambled egg, fried cucumber & salad. The other options were alot of prepackaged biscuits, cereal or fruit salad. The service was excellent but I was disappointed with the food, especially as breakfast is advertised as free on the website, but upon arrival, you're told it's €10 per day, after the first day (which is free).
The staff were professional, the owners were accommodating, offering everything you might expect from any other accommodation. I really appreciated you were given a front door key to come in & out in your own time, which allowed flexibility that most hotels don't allow, due to having a curfew. The wall art was tasteful for the house and area & the decor superb. There's always a calm, quite atmosphere in the house as well, which I appreciated.

United States of AmericaNote the building is under big renovation in the courtyard so be prepared to be surprised but it is not noisy at all at night. Breakfast takes time in the morning if you are in a rush to get out as you are being served.
Great location to walk anywhere, lots of restaurants around , stores , grocery stores , metro near. Easy to come from train station and bus station( direct line) . Special building to stay at , the charm of an old palace. The staff is eager to please, friendly and helpful. Clean room , comfy bed. New elevator which is a big plus. Quiet at night.

United KingdomVery convenient location, in the old town and within an ancient and grand baroque building, the B&B is located at the first floor in what looks to have been the house of a musician. The interior is very Art Deco style (early '900) and the rooms are quite spacious and clean, with a good taste in decoration. Common areas look very nice and the lady who runs the b&b is very kind. The building is under renovation and the main courtyard is like a small building site, but this wasn't a big deal. Recommended.

IsraelThe room was a bit smaller than I thought and a fridge would have been great to store cold water in the hot summer days. Other than that - everything was very nice.
We loved our short stay at Carafa. The hotel is in an old building currently renovating and has an antique feel to it. The rooms are clean and face inside the building so you can't hear the noise from the city. The best part of the hotel is the location where it sits right in the center and a 10-15 minute walk from everywhere central. we didn't need to use any public transportation in the area. The owner communicated with us through the entire stay and leading up to it and was kind and sent us a shuttle for airport pick up as well. Very good value for money.

CanadaThe hotel’s decor was charismatic with old world charm. The location was excellent within the Centro histórico, within walking distance of attractions, shopping and restaurants. Despite the busy location, the room was very quiet making it an oasis of calm. The owner Faviola and her staff were very accommodating and helpful.

Australiathe bathroom was a little small but this was unavoidable due to the shape of the old building.
quirky feel, lovely antiques, extremely beautiful entrance and function room, fabulous outlook onto the busy Main Street but once the internal shutters were closed it was quiet and dark for sleeping.

United States of AmericaThe room didn't have a fridge, so I couldn't keep food in there. The beds could be a bit more comfortable. Overall though this wasn't a big problem.
Fiorella and the staff are so helpful and friendly, and the hotel is very and stylish inside a historic building in the heart of Naples. If you're looking for a unique and convenient place to stay, this is it.

United KingdomNo sign of the Guest house outside. It was very difficult to find it. I had to ask the shopkeeper on the street to direct me. I tried to call the hotel to give me directions but the gentleman did not speak English, could not give me advice.
Lovely small quest house just in the heart of the old City. Short distance to everything and Via Toledo was just around the corner. However, the room looked to the courtyard and it was very quiet to sleep. The manager Fiorella was so nice and kind, she was very helpful and a communication was great. The fresh breakfast was served in the morning. The place has exceeded my expectation. I will definitely return and highly recommend it to others.
