Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews

The drain for shower was very slow. The jacuzzi had a broken handle.

Nothing. Everything was good.
Great location close to Termini train station (15mins walk) and restaurants/coffee shops and most attractions are within walking distance. Room size was very reasonable for 2 people and communication with the host Emanuele was exceptional. We had a late flight out of Rome, and Emanuele was very accomodating in storing our luggage so we can be free to visit attractions on our last day, which was handy and very much appreciated. You couldn't ask for a more responsive host. Thank you.

We had a perfect stay, Emmanuel was a brilliant host. The room was lovely and clean, excellent location close to all the main sights, and Emmanuel was so helpful and kind. Can’t wait to return, definitely recommend this accommodation!

Amazing
We’ve stayed here twice and Emanuele (the host) has been simply exceptional. The room was clean, comfortable, and the service was on another level. At the time of our departure we forgot a bag in the room and left the key inside. He was away at the moment but managed to help us remotely to get in the room. He even bought gifts for our girls, and brought a newly bought scale to the room when I just asked in case they had one. Can’t recommend this enough. If you’re looking for a fair-priced clean beautiful room with a great location, this is it!

The accommodation was lovely! The bedroom and bathroom were a really good size! The host was fantastic and really helpful. Would recommend this hotel as very central to all of Rome's sight seeing excursions.

The detachable shower hose on the bath didn’t work. That’s the only thing I could find fault with.
Our host Emanuele was very gracious, lovely fella. The bath was amazing! Lovely light, airy, spacious room with a very comfy bed. Greta location, 10/15 minutes walk to the main attractions and Roma Termini. Perfect stay, would definitely stay again.

Somehow expensive which is a common problem of the accommodation in Rome...
Good localization: walking distance from Roma Termini train station as well as basilica St Maria Maggiore, fora and coloseum. Suprisingly quiet place. Comfortable room and friendly Staff.

Great hosts, great communication and offering to help with anything we needed, very welcoming. This is like a serviced apartment rather than a hotel, but its clean, secure and in a fantastic location. Highly recommended for a city break.

Didn’t sleep too well as the coverlet kept slipping off (could be our fault) and the sheets weren’t well anchored.

Cardilli is location is superb. Walking distance to most iconic Roma sites. The rooms are confortable, clean and modern. The building has a lift, helpful when traveling with heavy suitcases. Emanuele is an exceptional host, kind and attentive, he even surprised my daughter with an Easter Egg and pretended it was placed at our room door by the Easter Bunny, made our stay!!!!
