Pool area quite basic, cheap plastic cups, limited poolside food. Baron development site next door, not very nice outlook.

Expensive for what it is, terrible snacks in the pool bar (premade wraps and toasties, bad dry quality and expensive - especially compared to a local pizza delivery with delicious €5 pizzas, it's really a shame to sell such things for more), long walk every time to the pool/exit (from rooms with sea+pool view since walking through the gym is prohibited), paid spa, sea water in the pool which made it really cold and not pleasant to stay in for too long, really bad garden (despite huge potential) with exposed view to some construction and ugly buildings, found 3 cockroaches floating in the pool one of the days, pool life guard takes 3 hour break in the best time for a swim, pool bar ran out of white wine (how can this happen in such a big hotel?!, apparently manager forgot to order), car park run down, air con turning on randomly at night, hard to get waiter's attention at breakfast to ask for coffee, also one coffee machine with some buttons out of service for the whole hotel, no pool toilets - some beside the bar but one ladies toilet out of service for the whole stay, the other one was dirty all over one of the days. The atmosphere is very quiet, rather elderly people, everyone keeps it to themselves, so depends what you're looking for, we were missing a little background music or more outgoing staff. The hotel and views are pretty but definitely not worth the price. I see from other reviews some people got a free upgrade whereas we had to pay a good bit to have the room with a sea view, despite arriving near the end of the season (late September). The hotel has a lot of potential, but there are so many things to improve...

Beautiful sunset views after room upgrade (had to pay extra), large swimming pool, good location, friendly staff, tasty breakfast with good selection and freshly made omelettes.

The inside bar area is literally 2 tables outside the lifts, which isn't a very pleasant place to relax.

A bit of traffic noise from the road outside. Breakfast staff were lovely but other staff could have been a bit more friendly.

Lovely rooms, fabulous sea view, great breakfasts, brilliant pool area. Amazing sunsets. Good location on the edge of the town. Easy walk down to the town itself.

Comfortable bed,pool fab,everywhere spotless and tidy. Reception staff ( esp Pamela ) , breakfast staff and cleaning staff ( esp lady cleaning 5 th floor ) all helpful , warm and welcoming. Good choice at breakfast - freshly cooked eggs are fabulous. Views from hotel just beautiful.

Just a personal thing for us.....the hotel was too big. We usually prefer smaller but this should not take anything away from our lovely stay there

Not a 5* hotel - rooms are dated, bed isn’t very comfortable. The first room we were given wasn’t very clean. Spa isn’t complimentary for hotel guests.

A bit dated. Grumpy bar man at poolside bar. Pool area and garden area very poorly landscaped and looked on to a building site. Seriously hard beds.

Location and hotel standards are really good and local town is also top class . We were very please with the hotel we would prefer a sea view as we think the hotel should have only offered this great view .

Hotel is excellent to very high standards there is a good attitude from the staff from reception to restaurants , house leeping and a good pool team . We had a super stay at the hotel and Alghero . The weather was a real treat as we could live outdoors for most of the day .

It is a pity the spa has quite a high cost as this put us off using it
