Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

HungaryThe dishwashing situation is a little bit hostile, because there is limited warm water in the not-very-practical kitchen sink, and we also didnt find a normal sponge. The kitchen is lacking a cheese grater which i think would be a must in an italian kitchen, other than these two things everything was very nice.
Beautiful view, big rooms, comfy beds, nice bathroom, the air-conditioning works perfectly. The host was really nice and helpful. We are the proof that even though the apartment is in a remote place and it is recommended to visit by car, it is absolutely doable with public transport: there is a bus line which departs every hour from almost the entrance of the apartment and also brings you up from the train station. There is a little grocery shop right on the other side of the street, it's a little expensive but has everything you need. For a beach day we recommend the beach of Vico Equense (Lido Il Pezzolo and its surroundings) rather than the beaches of Seiano. Vico Equense (just like the train station for the Circumvesuviana Napoli-Sorrento line) can be reached easily with bus from the apartment.

BulgariaIf you want to fill the spirit of Italy, this is your place. Amazing view to Vesuvius and Costiera Sorentiana. Perfect location for visiting Amalfi, Pompeii, Positano... There is a free parking, which is very important for this area.

IrelandWas the most memorable vacation and staying at this accommodation. Breath taking views throughout, hosts are superb, so much friendly and helpful. Surroundings excellent, a very friendly mini super market beside the house, location a little far from the central town but a local bus service to the central station make up everything. If I get a scope in future will definitely be back in this house.

RussiaNot a disadvantage really, but guests should be aware of the limited transportation options. It is a small village on the hill. There is a bus, not sure about its schedule. If you have a car, know that parking in the surrounding towns is a big issue.
Views. Lots of space and the terrace. Also, there is an impressive collection of books in the house.

United StatesI rented both apartments for 2 weeks. The bottom apartment did not have hot water for several days. Both apartments did not have Internet for several days as well. And there is no cell phone reception in the villa. It's literally like being trapped in the 18th century. Overall, the furniture is old, and the beds are very hard. The sheets are rough, and the towels are not plentiful. There is no kitchen to really cook anything other than perhaps making coffee or tea. There is no washer/dryer. You will need to drive to Vico to use a laundromat. If you are staying for a day or two this villa will be fine. If you are staying for a longer, I would look elsewhere. The manager is responsive, but it took numerous calls to get the hot water resolved and the Internet was never resolved before we checked out. It certainly seems like the owners of the villa are trying to maximize profits since the experience is far less than what you would get at the hotel at the end of the street. If they invested the money necessary, because of the view and location, this could be a truly phenomenal property and experience. But alas, it was below average.
As others have stated, the view is second to none. That's where my positive experience ends with this property.

United KingdomThis is not a 2 bed apartment. There's bedroom + sofa bed in the living/dining room. The bed is very hard and uncomfortable. I like firm beds, but this was worse than sleeping on the ground. We arranged our arrival time of 7-8pm in advance, agreed by the host, but she started texting and phoning/ yelling at us while we were trying to drive a hire car through narrow, twisty roads and busy traffic. It was very stressful. She wanted us to meet her somewhere else away from the apartment, in the dark, in a strange place. We had to wait outside in the lane in the dark for about 30 mins, then a woman arrived but she had forgotten to bring the keys!!!! She phoned someone else, and we had to wait another 25 mins, standing in the dark, hungry and tired. It was a shambles. Someone finally drove up with the keys and we were rushed through a 'welcome'. The woman who showed us in said she had to get back to friend's wedding. She said we could contact her on WhatsAp. We don't use it. It was Sunday evening and all the shops and restaurants locally were shut. We had nothing to eat except the plastic-wrapped stuff left for breakfast. The apartment was cold overnight and we had no way to turn on the heating. There were no spare quilts/blankets. The parking space is 100m away at the bottom of a steep lane. The entrance is very narrow with rocky walls and a steep ramp. It's quite difficult to drive in and out even a medium sized car. The apartment looks good in pictures, but is not comfortable. The vintage furniture looks good in photos, but is in poor condition. Bookcases locked, bedside drawers fixed shut. We were aware of the very basic 'kitchen', We only had 1 big/1 small towel each for a 5 night stay, only 1 mirror in the whole apartment. The host should stay here for 4-5 nights to learn how to improve it for guests.
The view from the apartment is AMAZING. Two of the rooms and the terrace have an incredible view across the bay of Naples to Vesuvius. The big windows make the most of the view. It's spectacular in any weather and any time of day. The building is very old and beautiful, full of character, with high vaulted ceilings in some rooms, tiled floors and lovely outside terrace and roof terrace. The apartment is furnished with assorted vintage furniture and a lot of bookshelves full of vintage books. It's very attractive and interesting to look at. There was a generous supply of long-life milk, cartons of juice, dry-toast, packs of cheese & salami, croissants, jam, tea & coffee etc to make our own breakfasts. Everything was clean.
