Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

Can't think of anything in particular although Sam didn't arrive in time to collect the keys from us even though we had advised that we needed to leave at 11.00. We left the keys in a secure location.
The location of the property is perfect for exploring the area of Trastevere. Although busy, not noisy in the evening or during the night. Beds & pillows really comfortable & both showers were very good. Really good security with the entrance door & then a further door requiring a key before you get to the apartment door itself. We also ate at two of the restaurants Sam had recommended. He was very good at explaining how to operate the gas hob etc. The added bonus was the property also had a washing machine that was required as my son had been travelling before reaching Rome.

Apartment is preety dark, no direct sun light and the entrance is directly from the street. Nevertheless, it is not noisy, which is good.
Accommodation is in really nice place, Trastevere, and that is the main advantage. Cozy, nice and clean, suitable more for group of friends than family. For city break tours very nice location, Trastevere is beautiful🙂.

I thought there were two couches. (According to pics provided) but there was only the one pull out couch. So when it was pulled out as the bed there wasn’t another to use for seating. Small inconvenience. No microwave.
Location. Space: 2 beds in separate 2 spaces and 2 bathrooms. Comfortable beds. Good air conditioning for 70-80 degree days. Terrific shower water pressure. Had some extra plug converters. (We brought our own but terrific in case you forgot) Easy check in and out. Great communication.

Many pictures of different apartments are provided on the platform and it was not clear which apartment we will be getting and what will be part of it. Also, maybe we payed above average because traveling over a holiday, however it was very expensive for what was offered.
It is a nice small apartment, which covers all basic needs. The location is great. Even when the apartment is based on the ground floor and right on the main street, it felt safe and you didn't hear the road as someone might have thought.

We were a bit disapointed with little stuff like AC is really old and is not functioning good Some toilet stuff was broken Electric ventilator was not fuctioning And thatswhy alsi the air in the flat was humid

Heavy traffic on the street all night. Very noisy. In the discription stood garden: it was a bench and a parking lot? In the discription stood view of the city: we had app. no. 1 and we have only seen a big wall outside? The host didn’t speak English. Why?
Nice location in Trastevere. Clean appartment.

Absolutely not suitable for families – avoid if you value comfort and peace. We stayed in two of the host’s apartments and were extremely disappointed. The ground-floor unit is right on the street, making it unbearably noisy and filled with unpleasant smells. The conditions overall were harsh and far from what was advertised – basic comfort was simply not there. It got so bad that we were forced to cut our stay short and find another host. This experience was stressful and disappointing.

la posizione e' perfetta se vuoi immergerti nella Roma vera. l'alloggio si trova in un piccolo comprensorio dove ci sono villette e altri appartamenti che affacciano su un cortile privato. L'alloggio dove ho soggiornato affaccia sulla strada ma da' su un ex convento oggi hotel di lusso. In casa c'era quasi tutto, sicuramente comoda e pulita. Ci sono due bagni e un piccolo angolo cottura. Se proprio devo trovare un difetto avrei messo un phon in piu, uno per ciascun bagno
