The whole bathroom area smelled very bad of mildew. The people with the bathroom next to us mentioned it so we decided to leave our bathrooms open. I think they just need to air out. The beds were uncomfortable but adequate.

The location was perfect. The room was very clean. The separate private bathroom looked clean. Nice coffee maker and shared kitchenette. We never saw the staff but they gave us some great information for sightseeing.

We missed bottles of water in our room, we got that in other properties.

Clean, good location. The owner is super nice and very helpful. She provided us with lots of informations about what to see, where to eat, also helped us check for the bus arrival. We appreciated that a lot.

The only negative about Casa Galati is that the walls of the room were not very thick and soundproofing could be improved. Just as in England, a lot of people only speak one language. It has been a surprise that, even in the Tourist Offices in Palermo, most of the information is only given in Italian and virtually no French, Spanish or English are spoken.

Great to have a welcoming sitting room and well equipped kitchen so close to our room. Casa Galati is really close to Teatro Massimo and within easy walking distance of other places well worth visiting such as the markets, the Palatine Chapel, jazz club and the Cathedral. Even though Casa Galati is centrally situated by the old town, it is in a quiet side street. The area feels safe, the shops and eateries nearby are fabulous. Lady at reception was very helpful and always smiling. She helped with any question and gave suggestions about the city, Location of apartment is very good - right where busy area begins, restaurants and shops around.

Booking.com still indicated breakfast would be included and the photos of b'fast made it look terrific. We learned breakfast was discontinued due to Covid. Bummer. We were allowed to store food in the refrigerator. There is no coffee maker (only electric kettle). Kitchen area, if guests use it, must be cleaned by them after using.

Location is terrific. History of the building from Mario added to the stay. Mario is extremely helpful and is fluent in English. We really enjoyed his recommendations & driving tips. Room is comfortable, but there was street noise with the door open (to be expected in this location).

The room was small but comfortable and clean. The staff was very friendly and contact with host was very good. She was helpfull, gave us a lot of recommendation of restaurants and monuments… We also could leave our luggage after check out. The location was great, near to the restaurants, shops and night life but it was quiet. I recommend it!

Clea and Jessica have been super disponsable to give us suggestions about the places to visit and where to eat typical food from Palermo. Room was comfortable and super central, very close to one of the main touristic routes of the city and very easy to reach even by public transport or taxi. Moreover, the location of the room was optimal to reach both North and South Palermo, since it's located exactly in the centre. Very nice place where to stay and spend your time in Palermo.

But this option is not suitable for a finicky person. But there are probably finicky persons in the hotels.

This is for a person who wants to see the city to the maximum. You won't find a friendlier service anywhere. Helpful and always good advice giving staff. I liked everything and I was satisfied with everything. Breakfast was at a nearby bar, which I also enjoyed very much. Live like a typical Palermo resident.
