Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesNot a thing!
There was very quick communication, the apartment was immaculately cleaned, tea and coffee provided with breakfast snacks (so appreciated!), and Emanuele and Sabrina were the most gracious hosts. Each room had doors you could open for breeze and they all had screens, something I have never seen before in Italy and were very much appreciated. It was a straight 15 minute walk to the train and funicular station; the COOP grocery store is 5 minutes in the other direction. The bed and pillows are very typical of Italy, a little harder than Americans are used to but it didn’t affect my sleep at all. The kitchen was well-stocked with dishes and implements for cooking. There is a high chair and crib for those with babies. Loved it!!!

United StatesIt was about a 10-15 minute walk from the train station if you are walking. It would be very easy if you had a car.
Very nice and spacious apartment. The hosts met us and showed us the apartment. They also treated us with a delicious home made apple cake. Great shower and lots of room, very comfortable!

Hong KongFrom Railway station, it needs to walk around 10-15 minutes. If no big luggage, it is not for problem
The owner contact with WhatsApp, it is very efficiency. Sabrina made a welcome apple cake, it is very delicious. Supply coffee pods, milk, bread for breakfast... Nearby Supermarket, restaurants...house temperature is suitable. Overall, I love this place.

CanadaThe location was a bit further from the train station than I had anticipated, but the owner did suggest a different route than Google Maps in order for us to get there most directly.
The owner was very responsive. We had an issue with the hot water, and he immediately came over to resolve the issue. He also left us a very delicious apple cake that his wife made. He responded quickly to all my questions prior to arrival, and once we arrived he spent time reviewing everything in the apartment so we knew how it all worked. Definitely go visit Orvieto and take the funicular up to the old town - it is delightful!

LatviaNothing not to like. The property is not in the historic centre of Orvieto, as is clear from the listing. But a 10-minute walk brings you to the funicular opposite the railway station which connects with the historic centre on the higher ground.
The property is a generously-sized apartment on the ground floor of a low-rise apartment block which is 10-15 minutes' walk from Orvieto railway station. I had a warm welcome from Emanuele and Sabrina — Emanuele in contact via messaging, Sabrina to let me in and show me around the apartment. I was particularly pleased that the kitchen had a coffee machine, and was stocked with coffee pods, milk, water, and a cake ion the refrigerator which had been freshly baked by Sabrina, so that I did not have to go out to do shopping immediately on arrival. (Though the local shopping is good, including a big supermarket five minutes' walk away.)

BelgiumBed was very hard and place is close to the train tracks. At night high speed trains continue coming past every now and then. I'm a light sleeper but must admit it was not as bad as I had feared when I heard the trains during the day. Unfortunately there is no airco but the apartment is on ground floor so that does keep the warmth out of the walls. Overal not too bad.
Nice apartment near where I needed to be (I was not there to visit Orvieto). Easy to get up the mountain by car if you do want to visit or go up for a nice restaurant. Hosts are very nice and connect before arriving to arrange everything and make sure you get settled. If you have a big car (not ideal in Italy) then there is parking on the larger road, small cars can park in the streets around the apartment. Kitchen has everything you would need. Bathroom also. Space was very clean.

AustraliaJust no kettle to make a cup of tea. Everywhere in Italy has coffee pod machines now, but often nothing to boil water for a cup of tea!
The apartment was easy to find with plenty of parking on the street. It was spacious and attractive with a beautifully equipped kitchen and great bathroom. The hosts were very friendly and accommodating. The hostess had even baked us a delicious apple cake for our arrival!

SpainAlthough the flat is close to the train line, the place is very well isolated and the noise is almost not noticeble.
The location is good for visiting Orvieto, by walking 10-15min you can reach the funiculare station, and in 2 minuts you are in the oldtown. We travelled by car, so for us was perfect, to leave the car in front of the apartment and discover the city! Emanuele and his wife are great hosts! We love it so much to meet them, they recieved us with the most warm welcom and were open to help at any time. Although we were travelling as couple, we noticed the place is well provided for travelling also with children!

IcelandCan't complain about anything.
This apartment has certainly exceeded our expectations. It is a typical modern Italian style home, tidy, spacious, beautiful, very well maintained and sweetly decorated, we even had a Christmas tree 🎄 The owners were welcoming us as if we were friends, we got so much useful information and help, and even breakfast and extra food was there in case we wanted to eat at home. The furniture is all in great shape and the kitchen seems to be all new, coffee machine and dishwasher included. The location is easily reachable by foot from the train station if you are not afraid of a 10min walk, on the way there are shops and restaurants (we ate 2x at da Dina which was delicious). I totally recommend staying at casa Palmira if you want to visit old Town Orvieto, since it is also so much fun to go with the kind of cable car uphill.

GermanyEverything was perfect. Lovely apartment. I feel nothing can be better than this - The hosts were very kind polite. I felt I was warmly welcomed (moved by the "welcome cake"), and I think they tried best to make me feel comfortable. :) I was really surprised that the rooms were absolutley spacious and clean. I also loved the terrace. :) In the kitchen, everything was there - including pasta, tomato sauce, garlic, spices and oil, dishwasher, coffee machine & capsule coffee, milk, big refrigerator, ... It was really convenient!! And all the things the host prepared were amazingly delicious. The bed and sofa were also comfortable. I did not feel any kind of inconvenience during my 4 nights stay. In fact, it was a very pleasant stay! :) I will definitely stay here again if I visit Orvieto. 👍☺️

NetherlandsStrategically located within walking distance to the train station, supermarkets and the funiculare to the old town of Orvieto. When going for a drive to for instance Titignano you will be out of town in the countryside in a minute. The balcony may not offer great views but the neighbour's cat Nero will be happy to keep you company. Our host was very welcoming and cheerful and fun.
