Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. United States of AmericaEverything was outstanding. We had a really nice time. Casarufolo is a family operated business. Everyone was very attentive. The hotel is in a hill and the views are beautiful. It’s a very peaceful place. Gianluigi the owner was very kind and thoughtful. The breakfast was really good. I really recommend Casarufolo

BrazilMy recent stay at Casarufolo Paradise was nothing short of a delightful surprise, and it was all the more remarkable considering we were a diverse group of 15 people, ranging from kids to elderly travelers. Nestled in a stunningly beautiful location, this accommodation may seem a tad remote and challenging to access, but any initial concerns quickly faded away thanks to the exceptional service provided by the owner. The Casarufolo is situated in an idyllic setting, with breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. However, it's worth noting that the property is a bit far from the downtown area, and the road leading to it can be quite challenging to navigate, especially for those unaccustomed to the winding, narrow roads of the region. But here's where Casarufolo truly shines: the owner, a gracious and welcoming host, went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. From the moment we arrived, we were met with a warm smile and a promise of assistance, which was especially appreciated given the size and diversity of our group. The owner not only facilitated our arrival and departure by chauffeuring us up and down the tricky road whenever we needed but also helped us organize and book excursions, making our stay stress-free and enjoyable for all members of our party. The accommodations at Casarufolo are spacious, providing plenty of room and beautiful sightseeing of the area. The rooms are well-appointed, comfortable, and clean, ensuring that everyone, from the kids to the elderly members, had a comfortable and enjoyable stay. One of the highlights of our stay was the delightful breakfast that awaited us each morning. Served with care, it featured a variety of delicious options to suit all tastes, accommodating the preferences of all the members of our group. In summary, Casarufolo is a hidden gem for travelers seeking a peaceful escape in a picturesque setting, and it's particularly well-suited for groups of all ages and sizes.

CanadaThe location, while offering a magnificent view, does present a challenging climb if done on foot and makes it inconvenient to swing by to the room to freshen up before dinner. In addition, the bed was not very comfortable.
Casarufolo Paradise is located away from the hustle and bustle - a couple of kilometers out of downtown Sorrento - up hill. This makes for a magnificent view and a magical spot from which to relax after a long day. The hosts are warm and friendly, offering pick-up from the train station and an evening shuttle service to/from downtown. Breakfast is included and during our stay featured beautiful tomatoes and olive oil from their garden, not to mention fresh figs from their own trees.

United KingdomThe property was up a steep winding hill, which was fine for us and gave the fabulous views. Gianluigi was there to transport us as and when needed and we walked sometimes so it was not a problem.
Loved the location, loved the views, loved the host Gianluigi who could not do enough to make it a fabulous holiday. Gianluigi organised a boat trip to and around Capri which was a fantastic stunning day. Breakfast was lovely and fresh each day too.

United KingdomNothing, everything was brilliant!
It was a beautiful place to stay, the room was clean, cool and comfortable and the views were absolutely stunning! Breakfast every morning was delicious, particularly the fresh bread, tomatoes and figs grown at the property. But the best think about this property is the host, Gianluigi! He made our stay amazing, nothing was too much to ask and we very much appreciated the evening shuttles back up the steep hill! Would love to stay here again and would definitely recommend it to anyone planning on staying in Sorrento.

New ZealandThe fact that I had to leave... 😣
What a fabulous B&B just up the hill overlooking Sorrento. Lovely breakfast made by the lovely Maria using their own olive oil and tomatoes. Great views! Fabulous host Luigi. Such a character! Nothing was a problem, he dropped us into town and picked us up at night. The drive up & down is an experience hehe! I highly recommend staying here. Luigi, I will be back! Ciao from Veronica & Graham 😍

United States of AmericaThe rooms are a bit stuffy - no ac and not much air circulation. One room was large, and one fairly small. The breakfast could have been a bit more extensive - fruit and some protein options. But overall, the juice, bread, olive olive, and tomatoes were amazing. Vacationers should be aware that this property is only accessible via a ride from the host. However, he does everything to accommodate the needs of his guests.
The location was stunning. Amazing views. The ride up and down is quite an adventure. The host, Gianluiggi, is amazing. He is so accommodating. He has to transport customers up and down all day long and always does it with a smile. His mantra is "no problem." At breakfast, his tomatoes and olive oil (both his own) are amazing.

United KingdomDid you read the review?
The pictures are real. These are the views from the hotel. As the host says as you enter the gates - 'Welcome to my Paradise' A beautiful old pensione-style hotel surrounded by 500 olive trees. My room was large and cool (it gets hot. in Sorrento) with an amazing view down to Sorrento and across the bay to Vesuvius in the distance. The exposed rock of the cliff and the big comfortable four post bed meant it was a really lovely place to be. Secure outer door and insect mesh meant leaving the inner doors open and listenting to the night. You are not in the town so no cars or traffic noise. The bathroom was very clean with a great (large - 2 people +) proper hot shower. The host - was AMAZING. Beond helpful and nothing too much trouble. He collected me and others from a cafe near the station and was happy to shuttle guests down into the town in the morning too. He collects from the town at 9,10 & 11PM so you can enjoy the evenings in the town with no Taxi fares. Try the restaurants he recommends too... He also runs one of the excursion agents in the town so you get personal service for booking tours and visits to nearby sites and coastal towns. The one-day Capri boat tour is highly recommended. Breakfast is a simple affair but with freshly baked breads, local foods and olive oil from the trees around you. The terrace view is one of the best too. This was a two-day business stay due to a local conference. But I'm already planning and booking my return to stay here again in October 2024. I cannot wait!

Beautiful setting - high up above Sorrento in olive & lemon groves feeling very rural but 20 min walk down to the centre - hosts were so lovely & the best breakfast on the scenic balcony - fresh bread with Gianluigi’s olive oil & tomatoes - great coffee. Gianluigi provides lifts up to the property on arrival & @ in the evening 9/10/11pm from the pick-up point - great craic !

IrelandThe only downfall of the property would be the distance from the town as it is a 20/25 minute walk down a steep hill so if you find it difficult to walk steep hills you might struggle. However, the property and the views made this distance worth it :)
Casarufolo Paradise was the perfect place for our stay in Sorrento. The views from the property are immaculate, and overlooking Sorrento and mount Vesuvius during breakfast on the terrace was amazing. Gianluigi was the best host we could have asked for, he was so helpful and when our flight time got changed to an earlier time he went out of his way to find us a last minute taxi and drop us to the town at 5am. He also gave us a lift back to the house every evening. I would highly recommend to any young couples or anyone who is happy to stay somewhere slightly more rural to get a more authentic experience in a clean, safe and fabulous location.

South AfricaBreakfast good. Setting of accomodation beautiful. Having a fridge in room was superb. Guinluigi is such a superhost. He is a legend in Sorrento. He drives you to town and collects you again. He becomes a friend. As it was very hot and we were two ladies(mid 60) travelling on our own it was lovely sitting outside in the garden till well after dark. Maybe with heat a fan in room would have been handy.
