The aircon unit in one of the bedrooms was malfunctioning and leaking during our stay although owner did try and deal with this. Be aware the steps to the flat are steep but that's a given in these beautiful historic apartments.

The decoration of the flat was particularly nice - it really looked like someone's (cool) home, rather than a soulless Air BnB. Great location. Also: a rare place that provided hair conditioner as a toiletry, much appreciated.

I didn’t want to leave and am already dreaming about a return trip back. It was such a fantastic experience!

There’s nothing I didn’t love about the property. If I could buy the apartment and live there permanently I would. It felt like home and I cannot express how great the location is. Some reviews talked about having to go up steps but they weren’t bad. Also you can’t expect most European apartment buildings to have elevators that’s just not common. Also some people complained about the noise, but again, you can’t have an apartment in the city center without noise. Honestly I didn’t think it was ever that noisy. Closing the shutters blocked out 90% of the “noise”. I spent so much time looking at apartments in Lucca and I feel very confident I made the perfect choice with this one!

A bit of noise early in the morning from delivery trucks and the road construction site in one of the neighbouring streets.

Simply perfect. The apartment was spacious, beautifully furnished and spotless. As soon as we opened the door we noticed the fresh smell and even the bedsheets smelled nice. There was a bottle of wine, biscuits and apples on the table as a welcome gift which we found particularly special. The communication with the host was fantastic and we felt very welcome. The location was awesome, a bit of a walk from the train station but an easy one. We couldn't believe that this place was actually also the cheapest option on Booking at the time as it was certainly the highlight of our whole trip. Highly recommended.

The apartment was absolutely perfect, even better than the photos. From the moment you are in touch with Anna, the host, you feel welcomed, and the same is reflected as you walk into the apartment. The neighborhood, the building, every little detail inside the apartment and especially the communication with our host are things that made our quick stop in Lucca unforgettable. We cannot wait to come back in the near future.

The couch in the living room was very uncomfortable. And there was only one other chair.

Anna was an amazing host, excellent communication before and after our stay. The apartment was so bright and cheerful, with lovely decorative touches. It had everything you could ever want, including a washer/dryer, two bedrooms, fully stocked kitchen and a few treats left for us. There were several restaurants and shops near by. You could walk to everything including the train station.

Excellent base to enjoy the beautiful city of Lucca. So many extras provided to make your stay comfortable. Thoughtful gifts were left for our arrival. Excellent communication from the host and very smooth self check in. Great air conditioning which was important as the weather was very warm. Would highly recommend if you don’t might moving your luggage up the stairs. Great local bus to the station. Thank you Anna for a great stay.

The restaurants downstairs were noisy, but that was okay for the couple of nights we were there.

This apartment has been the most comfortable stay of our trip so far. We finally got two soft pillows! The decor was lovely, and everything was spotless. The rooms were very spacious and had lovely high ceilings. The kitchen was well equipped, and everything worked well, allowing us to do some cooking. The apartment was well located, nice and close to shops and the city walls.

The apartment is in old town near one of church, square with some bars and small shops. Downstairs you can find bakery with fresh croissant and espresso. The flat is very charming with stylish details, well equipped, roomy and comfortable. There was two cots for babies. It was very easy check in and check out.

Apartment is darker than it appears in the pictures, no windows on the entrance side. Could also use some oven-safe dishes for baking in the oven.

Location was great, really convenient. Excellent pizza place directly across from it, and several nice coffee bars. Walkable to everything and very close to the wall for lovely walks around the perimeter of the old town.
