The castle was stunning upon arrival ! We loved our stay in the Tower, beautiful view of the countryside and Siena, just amazing. The sun set over Siena. It is very convenient to Siena, just 10 minutes to San Francesco parking area and up the escalator to Siena. The hosts were very friendly and as it happened they have a farmhouse restaurant about 10 minutes away. No ordinary restaurant, they make their own wine, olive oil and grow many of the ingredients at the farm. If you are in the area, you must eat here, Le Pietre Vive Restaurante. Very Very nice, we highly recommend ! Glenn and Diane

We came in November and gave them an exact time of arrival, I only wish they had turned on the heat in our room a little bit before our arrival.

The experience of staying in a real castle with absolutely incredible views of the rolling Tuscan Hills made me feel like I had been transported somewhere else. (even our first floor room had incredible views) Everyone was very nice even when we made a check in mistake, and the breakfast was better than expected and the entire family enjoyed it.

    Nothing. All good!

Unique experience staying in an actual castle. There were separte dining rooms beautfully arranged. Great views of Siena from the top tower and the most intersting luggage elevator we've ever seen. Freindly host. Comfy beds. Highly recommend for a unique experience.

Nothing. Wifi in room would be nice but this is a 12th century building so we were quite happy to have very good wifi service in breakfast room.

Exceptional place. Beautiful spacious room. Wonderful breakfast in a beautiful room . Helpful attentive staff. No wifi in rooms but excellent wifi on higher floors and in the breakfast room. Ample free parking Amazing views. This is what Tuscany is all about. Exceeded all expectations. Family also owns an excellent restaurant about 6 kms away which we loved and recommended to other guests.

Pillows were very big. Nothing really to complain about. Must like stairs if you get the top tower. Saying that it’s easy walking. They have a luggage carried to top living floor. You only have to carry your luggage once inside your room.

Everything. Amazing history and amazing views with a lovely tour by Julia. Great breakfast

The automatic air freshener in the bathroom was set right at head level by the toilet. When it went off it would spray us in the head if we were using the toilet. Not very pleasant to smell like the air freshener.

The property is stunning! The location is really beautiful set in the Tuscan hills. The views from every window were like a piece of art! The Farmhouse Restaurant was amazing! The cooking class was top notch and so much fun! The breakfast was hot and fresh with amazing views!

If you don’t like stairs this is not for you. Modern comforts weren’t great. No shower curtain so bathroom got a bit wet. The owner lives there so sone of the rooms have all her family photos…..felt slightly uncomfortable

Its a castle…enough said. View of Siena amazing from top floor. Large room, continental breakfast was hand served. Views views views…..and it is a castle. They have a pulley to get the luggage

The family suite bathroom could use some upgrading, fixtures looked quite outdated. The check in process could be streamlined to allow more flexibility. it's hard to estimate the exact time of arrival.

The castle was a wonderful addition to our journey. It is a unique historical building surrounded by olive groves. The castle itself is not big but it offers an adjacent nice garden to enjoy. Our suite was very spacious with amazing views of Tuscan rolling hills, which felt magical. The breakfast was great: cappuccino, charcuterie, yoghurt, jams, everything you need to start a sightseeing day in Siena.

Staying here was so fun! My husband and I wish we had more time. Driving up to a castle to stay in was such a cool experience in and of itself. From the moment we brought our luggage in to the moment we left, was an absolute dream. I could have spent hours in the shared rooms if we had the time. There’s so much of the family’s history around— I couldn’t soak it all in! So picturesque.

Well, it's nitpicking but if you are big or in bad shape, getting into and out of the place could be a challenge: there are a number of stairs to climb to get to the entry and our tower room had not one but two narrow spiral staircases to climb. Those factors didn't bother us but might impact some people.

Charming, beautiful stay in an actual castle with the family living there. The staff is great, the location is unique to say the least.

it is a unique experience and different from a normal hotel or guest house. You live literally in a Castle of 1300. so of you want to live a special stay is absolutely recommended. The view from the windows is magic facing on Siena hills with amazing colors and shadows an excellent breakfast on the top of the castle makes the stay even more beautiful it has everything you need from the kitchen and washing machine. very gentle and helpful owner

No restaurants within walking distance, therefore not easy to get food unless you had a car (which we did not). Hosts could call taxis, but it was costly due to the distance from towns.

Beautiful location in an actual castle! Very quiet. Unique experience.

The staff was easy to communicate with. They were very friendly and helpful. The apartment was very clean. The apartment was spacious. Little extra steps were taken to make us feel welcome.

Access to the rooms is by small tight metal spiral staircases which if mobility is an issue maybe not for you. Bathroom looking a little tired but given the age of the property can easily be forgiven! We loved it!

Stunning old 12th castle that has had its towers converted to apartments on a split level with bed on the uppermost floor and living below! Incredible place given its age!

This is a wonderful place. Truly a unique experience. Just be aware it is an old castle with lots of steps, some uneven so if you have small children or mobility issues you may need to reconsider.
