The bathroom was old and could do with an upgrade -especially the (small) shower cubicle. It wasn't cleaned to the optimal standards. Not the best use of outside areas around the hotel. The hotel restaurant is quite pricey.

Beautiful location and scenery. Great breakfast. A good base from which to explore Tuscany.

The air con in our room was awful and didn’t cool the room down at all. We asked for a fan but had to ask a couple of times before it arrived. The food in the restaurant was lovely but the menu was the same each night which was a little disappointing.

The location of the property was good and close to all the locations we wanted to see. The staff on the first night were great as we arrived late.

Staff could have been a little bit more friendly with more suggestions on where to go walking, cycling, etc... and there was only little amounts of English spoken. Very minor details though!

Lovely architecture and amazing 360 degree views of Tuscan hills. Great pool and great food for lunch and dinner

Staff pointed us to where breakfast was but didn't advise us it came at an extra cost - so we were surprised by the bill at the end. Pool was without water (something that should be advised ahead of us coming in) despite a very hot day, not a single sunlounger or even a chair in sight - so can't even simply relax by the pool. Overall disappointing.

Lovely setting, really nice looking grounds.

We were misled and forced to move constantly and finally overcharged!

We booked to stay in a castle for 2 nights but when we arrived we were given a room outside the castle. We weren't able to reach an agreement with manager so we ended up having to leave in the middle of the night. We were asked to return in the morning. When we did we were told that to make up for the bad experience we will be given a better room in the castle to stay at for two nights. We stayed one night and the second day were told that we need to check out or pay extra for an additional night (a third night) even though this was again, not what we were promised. We ended up checking out and leaving unexpectedly again. When we got home, we discovered the hotel had charged our credit card for 3 nights when our reservation was only for 2 and we only actually stayed in a room for 1 night! We were lied to repeatedly, had to pack up and leave in the middle of our stay twice, and came home to find we were majorly overcharged. The staff appear friendly and smile but do little to actually ensure a positive stay for their guests.

    The views are nice.

Booking.com will tell you that breakfast is included with any room but it’s not true. I booked the prepaid rate and upon arrival I was told that the prepaid rate did not include breakfast. The walls are also so thin that you could hear other people having sex during the day and at night.

The furnishings and décor of the rooms and facilities are a little old fashioned, and it is quite different in style and level of comfort from modern 4 star hotels, but still overall comfortable and very clean (and good size of room). Coffee/tea making facilities in the room would have been good (though reception were happy to send up coffee/hot water when requested).

The location of the hotel is great - surrounded by beautiful Tuscan countryside and with fabulous views from the terrace. Also good central location to drive to main villages to visit. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Food in the restaurant was good, as was breakfast. Overall, very relaxing and comfortable place to escape.

The 360° view on hills and just harvested fields all around on this absolutely fabulous location. A nice and homy feel in the reception area and grand stylish rooms. Unfortunately we stayed during the hottest peak in Italy which made this location a little tricky as it was very exposed to the sun. This was by no means through any fault of the venue but rather unlucky due to the unusual hot weather.

The staff were very accommodating and the location was superb! The breakfast was also delicious and the evening restaurant had great food and views!

There was no food available during the day and the restaurant didn't open until 8pm. Although the property states it is family friendly, unfortunately this dinner time is too late for those with small children. Also the bar should be available during the day for refreshments by the pool.

The views from this property are beautiful and it's a lovely place to relax especially at sunset. We really enjoyed the swimming pool area also, nice music playing and plenty of sun loungers. The breakfast was fairly average, some of the hot food was rarely hot but there was a good selection of pastries etc The location is good and close to the local village where there is a large supermarket and some restaurants open all day. I would also recommend visiting Asciano nearby, a beautiful historical small town, very quiet and lots of great photo opportunities!

Badly maintained splash pool. Concrete missing. Grit on the bottom of it. On our last day we learned of a much larger pool in a 200yd walk from the hotel. No one told us until we complained about the bad condition of the splash pool. Only scrambled eggs on offer for a hot breakfast. Good coffee!

Friendly and helpful staff. Great 360 vista. Lovely rooms. Restaurant food is good.
