The room was very plain and impersonal and smelled a bit of damp or mould. We would have appreciated to be informed of how the late evening entrance worked - was a bit tricky figuring it out ourselves.

The location is superb, close to restaurants, shops and the Spanish quarters. Nice breakfast, great and friendly staff. And the mini door you have to enter through when you come back after shop hours was an experience from a different time!

I arrived with a pushchair around 10.30 pm . The large front door was closed and I had to collapse the pushchair to get thru small door. I couldn't of done it alone , but the staff were really helpful . I stayed with my 18 mth walking daughter . Hotel suitable for this age. There is a lift. And the he hotel is very child friendly . Really lovely staff. Ordered taxi with them to go to airport which was very reasonable and driver came to help load . Good position for a walk along the seafront restaurants

At midnight a major construction work started in the alley outside our room with indescribable noice from the machines and workers shouting to each other. They said they had to work until 3 am... We naturally called the reception but no chance of changing rooms or reduction of the price because we had booked through booking.com. No sleep that night and we had to leave early for the airport.

Maybe need to be told about big oak doors leading to hotel being locked when shops closed..bit of a shock when returning late after eating out..but did then find buzzer to alert desk to open little side door.

Very friendly staff and charming hotel. Location perfect for seeing Naples. Extra bonus is the room with little balcony overlooking pedestrian street. We would stay here again.

the hotel info said they have parking, but they don't. It is an agreement with a parking lot, 10-15 min walk from the hotel. and parking fee is on us- 20 eu a day.

Location is great- on a lovely pedestrian zone- no cars, just little boutique shops. A few minutes walking distance to the most beautiful theater, the castle, great restaurants and pizzeria. Fairly easy to get on the highway too.

The hotel is hard to find, hidden away at the back of a courtyard off the main street, with no signage. This is made even more difficult at certain times of day when the courtyard gate is closed leaving access only through a small doorway.

The hotel is very central and handy for many attractions. It preserves some of the charm of the original building with a pleasant public lounge. Rooms are large with good storage, and very clean. Nice breakfast buffet.

On two nights the external noise from below( talking; screaming children; loud exchanges; banging of heavy doors; scraping of ?chairs across timber or stone floors)was intolerable .It persisted from around 8pm through to after midnight. The situation may be improved by additional glazing as we faced out onto an inner atrium.( room 206).The hotel is located on level 2.This was particularly an issue for us on the second night as we had an early start on the next day to travel to Rome airport to catch our flight home to Australia

The room looks NOTHING like what is advertised on Booking.com and was most certainly not work $189/nt. Rather than the charming accommodations listed on the website, we were assigned a dark room (with one small window into an air shaft). The hotel is not a standalone building but rather a tenant in a larger mixed use building which made it difficult to find and uncomfortable to come and go. Traveler beware. Very disappointing.

We didn't know in advance that the hotel gate closes at night. We were able to get in without any problem, an intercom to the staff got us in quickly. It would be nice if guests were informed of the gate ahead of time. This is not a criticism.

The high ceiling in the room, draperies on the window and the draping over the headboard were grand. We loved having a balcony that looked out over the street. The glass door to the balcony had excellent soundproofing. The breakfast room was charming, the breakfast was plentiful and delicious. The service and the coffee were excellent. Location, location, location. Tremendously close to everything in downtown. TV was a tad useless, as was the air con which liked to be a heater regardless of setting. Lucky it was cool outside, and we were on holiday so needed neither.

The room was interesting and had personality which was lovely. It was spacious and clean too. Having a safe in the room was essential - it's a cash city, so having secure storage was a must. Breakfast daily was simple but tasty. Complimentary snacks were put up around 5pm which was always a nice treat when popping in to change for the evening. It's a short walk to the port and only 10mins walk to the old town area which was ideal for us. The area also had plenty of options for food nearby.

I love old buildings and do not mind their quirks, but in this case some very fundamental things were not working. For example the cold&hot faucets only worked solo, so that you either had cold or scolding hot water at the sink. The shower cabin was leaking and ironically they kept on forgetting the bathroom foot towel making it worse etc.

Beautiful building. Very central. Yet because it is an old building with a courtyard, very quite. Good breakfast featuring Neapolitan and Italian delicacies.

Uncomfortable bed, put two singles to make a queen bed. Limited pillows. Really small TV mounted at the highest end on the corner of the wall. There's no lock from the inside of your room , house keeping budged in 2 out of 3 morning during our stay.

Great location with plenty of shopping and restaurants around. 5 mins walk from Toledo Metro, 10 mins walk to port that link you to Capri and Sorentto. Hotel also provide sweets and mini pizza for the evening FOC. Very good value for money!

Location is great ! Close to the bus station, close to the port for boat to all the islands, easy to go to Pompeii & Vesuvio, right next to all the tourist attractions, such as the royal Palace, the opera house, the new castle, the cathedral...... also easy to get to the Funigulare to go to the top of the mountain castle San Elmo & Museo di San Martino.

I had emailed ahead to say I was gluten free but nothing was provided for breakfast. Fruit and yoghurt was fine though.

Well named / a real charming hotel. Don't expect hotel chain type / if that's what you prefer choose somewhere else. The staff are lovely and as a solo traveller I felt really safe when returning late after the opera. It's in an amazing position - loads to see really close by. Lovely touches like pastries for guests in the afternoon and a Naples good luck charm on leaving.
