The place needs upgrade. The bathrooms are upgraded but the showers are tiny. There is no lights in the halls at night. The hotel has nice garden but it does not used a lot.

Location is closed to Pitti Palace and Boboli Gardens. It is in a walking distance ( 15-20 minutes) from other attractions but it is located in a quiet area, away from the noise and crowd of the center of the city. Staff at the fronf desk was nice and helpful.

Had problem with shower not draining but they offered another room and had maintenance look at next day. You need to remember this is a extremely economical priced monastery/hotel. Clean, comfortable bed, breakfast and safe location. If you want luxury you have to pay for it. I must say staff was very lovely and helpful.

Complimentary breakfast was nice. Table cloths with china.

Nothing. Could have been nice to have the option to eat breakfast on the outside court yard. But no big deal.

Wonderful, interesting and historical building. So much better than a generic/ chain Hotel. Tasty breakfast with a fairly good spread. Quiter location but close enough to town (15 min walk) Friendly, helpful staff with reception open 24/7.

A fridge or minibar in the room would be nice. There is no parking at the Hotel (there is a garage 3 minutes away, which costs about 30 Euros a day).

The staff was friendly and professional. They were very engaged finding a charging-solution for our Electric car. The Room is totally ok- it is clean and there's an aircondition. The hotel's environment was nice as well: not so touristic with good restaurants. After 10-15 minutes of walk, you enter the Center. We can recommend it!

I wish that the receptionist who met us on the arrival would be more friendly and would of look into my eyes whilst I was talking to hear - vital nonverbal body language was missing. Made me feel awkward an unwelcome in the property.

Spacious bright room overlooking the coat yard. Hotel accepted our early check-in request 1 h beforehand, and the late check out 1 h ( for free). That was a nice gesture, although when we arrived in the room - there were no towels, toilet paper in the room. Also, we booked the double bed, but we were given two twin beds. Fabulous breakfast. Great location, a huge park nearby. I would definitely come back. Fabulous restaurant - BOBOLI close by, it was recommended by the property - delicious traditional Italian cooking. An amazing neighborhood, less touristic.

The room, bed and toilet shower screens are quite dated. Barely acceptable for the price paid. The location is quite far from the City centre. It's about 1 km walk to the river side and major activities areas.

Good reception and easy check-in. Reception staffs are helpful and knowledgeable. Reception is well stocked with activities and tour recommendation. Feel safe staying in this place. There's a supermarket nearby for purchase of fruits, mineral water and daily necessities.

Mosquitoes were a minor problem, but once again we survived.. The breakfast was varied , but never changed.. we were residents for 14 days, but once again, all was well...

Staff above and beyond excellent- loved the peace and quiet; the cloister; the bells, and the Cenacolo{ Last Supper} , and the chapel🙏 Rooms were small, very clean, , the bathroom not as small as some I’ve seen in Europe. The shower was small, but we persevered...’Twas grand to be able to leave the window open for fresh air🌞 As my dear Mother would have said, “ Why Rita, it’s good enough for anybody”❗️❗️😊

The facility was clean and neat and the staff was kind and helpful. This is a no-frills way to stay in Florence and see the less seen side of the city. Although the Duomo and the other central locations are a bit of a walk, you are closer to the Boboli Garden, Pitti Palace and the Piazzale Michelangelo. I selected Convitto Della Calza - Casa Per Ferie precisely because of its location. If my travels take me to the "other side" of Florence, I would seriously consider staying here again.

The grass in the the garden was to dray and don't know if was water restriction because every were was the same in Florence except the Pitti Palace, every were else, also Rome was the same

We book the place just because we like to experience the life in a convent. The place was excellent The staff from the reception nice and helpful, breakfast was serve from 7:30 to 10:00 and there was all necessary food for start the day, tea, coffee, croissant, bread, toast, preserves, honey, butter, yogurt, cheese and salami, milk, every day a different tart, juice,a very good breakfast and very clean, the lady from the kitchen was very nice. Our room, 210, was not luxury, its a convent, but very comfortable and very clean, they clean and change towels every day, the beds were good and they change our linen every second day, free internet, air condition and a lift. The area were the convent is located is great, is the old area were the craftsmen had been living for centuries lovely antiques shops, real antiques, lots of leather craft, etc. To go to the center is so easy, you have a cross the street of the convent the bus 11 direct to the center and in your way back the same bus will let you literally at the door of the convent, very important after a big day walking in Florence. Also you have the tourist bus at the convent door every 20 minutes. If I'm lucky to go back to Florence in the future the Convitto Della Calza wiil be the place to stay.

We loved staying at Convitto Della Calza - perfectly placed for exploring beautiful Florence. A unique experience to be staying in a monastery and you can be stood on Ponte Vecchio five minutes after walking out of your room! Room was basic but comfortable, cool and clean. Staff were helpful and friendly - and breakfast excellent.

room 119 is very small, but this must be accepted for both the low price and the ancient purpose of the building

The room I had was small, the shower was tiny I could just fit in it but I couldnt turn around. The bed was like sleeping on a slab of concrete. The elevator is dangerous as hell and again really tiny. The crosses above the beds reminded me of every horror movie involving possession. The staff were arguing while I stood waiting for them to finish. The grass was unmowed.

The breakfast wasnt too bad. I wouldve loved some eggs on toast for a change though.
