Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

GermanyI wont say that we didnt like it but there are certainly some points to consider that can be improved by the owners: 1. Please pay attention to where the building is. Our navigation took us to the next building which had a collapsible gate that closed and locked after we enetered. The owners cannot speak english so we couldnt ask them for help. After waiting for 15-20 min a lady left the building and helped us get out of that campus and showed us right building. I think we got lost because it was night and dark. Maybe it is easier during day so plan to arrive accordingly. Also would be great if owner can give instructions beforehand so people don't go to wrong campus. 2. The parking inside the gate is limited. There is also parking outside but consider the walk uphill with luggage. 3. No elevators so consider not carrying big luggage in case if you get a room on second floor, its narrow stairs up and can get difficult. 4. If you want to take shower in morning, it may not work sometimes as the water stops if more people on the property use it at once. My husband took shower at night and it was perfect. I took it in morning and it was a struggle. 5. WiFi is very poor. In the end we had to use our data pack. I think with few umprovements from owner and few considerations from our side, it can become really great stay specially considering its price and vicinity to Lake como.
Good value for money We had to take one night's halt near como due to weather warning. For last min booking and the little price we paid this was a good one night stay.

AustraliaClean & comfortable room with lovely refurbished bathroom. Close to a local hotel with a little beer garden for a late afternoon drink. We walked about 2 km down the road to Pizzeria La Tenda Rosso & enjoyed a delicious meal & when we asked for a taxi they kindly offered for one of their staff to drive us back up the hill. We happily paid him for the journey. We had a memorable experience. Breakfast the following morning was plentiful & buffet style. It consisted of juices, tea, coffee, croissants, breads, ham, cheese, warm hard boiled eggs, fruit, etc….

United StatesI found the road from Lugano to the hotel to be quite dangerous. It’s very narrow, and many drivers tend to speed, which makes the drive feel uncomfortable and at times unsafe. We made an effort to follow the speed limits, but other drivers often ignored them, especially on sharp turns. In contrast, the drive to and from Como felt much safer. The roads are slightly wider, making for a more comfortable and less stressful experience.
The hotel is in an excellent location—conveniently situated between Como and Lugano. The breakfast is simple, with no hot dishes, but the coffee is tasty and satisfying.

FranceLocation is a bit far from Como lake and main sightseeing places, but all necessities are available nearby (restaurant, groceries, gas station) Wooden floors are also a bit noisy in rooms but easy to cancel with ear plugs at night
The property is nicely designed by combining old materials (stone shelves, wooden floors) and modern equipment for comfort. Breakfast was good and Italian coffee never disappoints.

Abkhazia, GeorgiaThe windy roads leading up to the property (my fault - I should have researched ahead of time - one of our children gets car sick). We had to book two rooms for our family of 4. They could have easily put a child’s bed in the room that had as it was big enough - they refused. Obviously, if staying longer it’s nice to have more space but for a stop over we would have preferred the kids to be with us.
It was good for the purpose: a one-night stop over on our way from Zürich to France. Breakfast was included and was sufficient.

GermanyThe apartment is located in the mountain and was very hard to find. I drive a 2019 Jeep Cherokee and many of the roads were very small and barely fitting 1 car. I missed my turn by accident and it took me back another 20 mins because there is nowhere to turn around. It was getting dark and raining which didn't help my visibility. We haver been driving for 8 hours and arrived around 7 pm. There are no restaurants around within 15 miles. We were lucky we had snacks we brought with us and that saved us. The apartment is very nice, its just the location that we didn't like.
The room was very clean. Breakfast was nothing special; some bread, meats, cereal, juices, and coffee.

RomaniaThe floor of the room makes sounds with every step which is a bit annoying
The room was very spacious and clean with comfortable beds. The breakfast was not varied but tasty. We arrived later and found the key on reception, which was no problem for us. I found a parking space within the location.

United KingdomNot about the B&B, but be aware that if you go to/from lake Como the roads are very steep, sometimes narrow (so not easy depending on the car you have).
The room was nice with a comfortable bed, facilities are as per description. There is space to park near the B&B and an an outdoor terrace, in a quiet village uphill.

GermanyThe accomodation is very much off the beaten track. It is difficult to find. Our sat nav took us to the indicated address, but there was absolutely no sign of the hotel. Eventually we found it after driving around the mountains and coming into the village from the other direction. The reception was not clearly marked and not staffed on arrival. After asking another guest we found a note with a key to our room and from there everything went well. You have to drive a good ten minutes into San Fedele Intelvi to find a restuarant for an everning meal. The drive from Como was OK. The drive back towards Lugano was rather adventurous. Approach the hotel from this direction at your peril!!
The accomododation met with our expectations. The staff were extremely friendly. The breakfast was excellent. The room was extremely clean and had everything you needed. The bed was very comfortable and the shower worked well. In short, the accomodation ticked all the boxes for an overnight stop.

GermanyThere are problems with the water supply (not the hotel's fault, the place has a general problem with water pressure). The bed covers had several small blood stains. There was a door between our and the neighboring room, so one could hear the people next door and vice versa. All in all, I would still say it was a nice place to stay because it is budget friendly and has good value for money.
Nice view and yummy breakfast. The wardrobe was almost antique and very beautiful. It was clean (except corners in the shower). The staff was friendly and helpful.

Czech RepublicThe only downside about our stay were other guests, which were very noisy, as the walls and doors in the property are very thin. Not the owner’s fault, I’d say though. The drive up to Pellio Intelvi can be frustrating for some, as it’s just twisting narrow roads, for me it was a pleasure, only thing I did not like that there is only one decent restaurant in the vicinity, which tends to be crowded.
It is a very nice villa, for the value it is excellent, clean facilities, breakfast was great, and the gentleman who took care of us had very good english. We were in room number 6, which had very spacious bathroom with a nicely designed shower, bidet next to the toilet and a sink. The sliding door to the bathroom is a bit odd design choice, but overall a very nice stay. The town’s location is very remote, so it can be a plus and a minus as well, depending on your point of view.

SwitzerlandIt was very far from everything. Every time we wanted to go out and go to Lugano per example we had to go down the mountain with very tiny and dangerous roads.
For me it was the fact that it was clean. Every time we went out and came in late we would find the room clean and shiny.
