The water pressure was at times weak, but this is a Bari Vecchia issue.

The location was perfect for discovering Bari Vecchia. In the heart of the old city, 1 min from the beautiful Cattedrale and buzzing piazza, but in a quiet nook. An island of peace to come back to. It’s a family-run place, where 3 generations of deeply rooted Barese welcome you with warmth and treat you like personal guests. Sergio, the youngest, was a darling: he picked me up gladly at the airport at an ungodly hour, gave me a little giro of the town on the way in, told me about what not to miss in Bari and set me up in a small but beautifully appointed room. His nonna (grandma) and aunts make orecchiette in the charming little courtyard but not for sale, just for the family. His nonno (grandpa) recommended the most wonderful place for a fish dinner. They really want their guests to understand and feel the pulse of their city. I was only there for 2 nights, but now i feel i have a home in Bari to go back to. And I will! I was very comfortable and happy in my cosy and charming room on the 1st floor. For longer stays, they recommend the bigger room on the 2nd Floor, with desk and chair.

The room we had on the second floor was very small. The bathroom was very, very small. It’s a good room for one person.

The character of the building and the character of inside the room lots of history you could feel it and the Nonna’s making orecchiette! Felt like part of the family!!

This is not really something I did not like, as I read other reviews, but I just want to say the stairs up to the apartments are no joke. Be careful and take your time!

The beautiful apartment, location and hosts could not have more perfect! Communication with Tomasso was always easy. Nicola and his wife are the absolute sweetest and really put my understanding of Italian to the test! My apartment was small but it was wonderful for just me. I didn't have hot water when I arrived but Nicola and his wife came up to fix it immediately! Nicola met me where my taxi dropped me off and helped me with luggage. He even helped me with my luggage when I had to leave. So kind and generous! As a solo traveler I would definitely stay here again!

Brilliant location in the old town, just gorgeous. The room is cosy and an efficient use of space, in other words a little small but not an issue, perfect for couples or solo travellers.

It’s understandable but still a bit hot on the top floor in the summer. Wifi is not very stable with the extension. And the stairs, despite it’s really cool, it’s not very friendly/inconvenient for older people or people with limited mobility.

The location is great, in the old town (like the maze). Opening the door of the building feels like entering the old ages. Decorations are also amazing, we were like “wow” when opening the room door. Host are kind and also response fast, the neighbors are also very kind and helpful though they can’t speak English :)

Absolute adorable room and perfect location, quiet street right in the old town. First time to Bari and had such a relaxing time. Very unique space, you do have to climb some narrow stairs, no surprise due to the age.

We had a wonderful stay at Corte Serra. This is a beautiful place to stay in the heart of Bari old town. The couple who run it are warm, welcoming and friendly. We navigated the language barrier with a small amount of Italian and translate apps. They offered advice on restaurants, things to do and even helped guide us to the station on our last day. The location was perfect for us and even though we were in the centre, the room was very quiet and an oasis of calm. Really beautiful place, very charming and we would go back.

We had to climb some very old marble steps to reach our room. While this did not cause us a problem I would not recommend them for anyone who has mobility issues. It is after all a very old building and that is in itself the beauty of such a stay. Our host could not have been more helpful. It was a lovely stay.

The stairs are not to be underestimated, especially due to their historic quality i.e. low clearance and narrow walkway. Thankfully the host carried my suitcase upstairs and I mostly enjoyed their uniqueness, but they may be a concern for others.

Enjoyed staying in such a unique property in the historic center of Bari! Great location with close proximity to everything, and a quiet room despite the central area. My room had such nice decor and a comfortable space. The entrance courtyard is picturesque and right off one of the main town squares. The host was kind, helpful, and easy to communicate with via WhatsApp. It was lovely being able to exit the property and be right in the heart of Bari's old town.

Our room was tiny, but perfect for a couple of nights for two females under 5 feet. Maybe less is more? The room had so much character, so it really didn’t need all the pictures and ornaments that made the room seem even smaller.

We received the warmest of welcomes from the longstanding owners (Maria & sister), their English speaking neighbour, Tommaso and Sergio, a friend’s son. We were given water, advice and smiles. A taxi to Bari Airport was arranged for us, which was very kind. This little oasis in the middle of the Centro Storico is a step back in time. It is one of a kind. It is not for anyone looking for cable tv, space and a coffee machine.

The room was very pretty and clean with all the amenities and the location is perfect, I felt I was experiencing living like a Local. And what deserves more than 10 stars is the hostess attention and help. It definitely went above and beyond my expectations. He right away answered my messages and send me the information I needed, gave me tips to eat around and places to go, ordered a taxi cab the day of my departure and they even accompanied me until I was ok the taxi. Highly recommended it

The hotel asks for tourist tax only by cash, which I was not prepared.

Staff are very friendly italian gramma and grandpa. The style of the building is very unique, and I am not sure if I can find another one in Bari. Additional, I was not aware I have to carry the checked luggage to the top floor, this is a very unique experience. I would recommend to others !

There was nothing we disliked

This adorable little place was the highlight of our trip. Although very small inside, it had everything we needed. Every detail was carefully thought out for perfect use of the space and for our comfort. It was literally steps from the lovely square.
