Lovely hotel, we took a water taxi to get to & from. The view from the room was exceptional, with views of the castle. Breakfast was nice in a room overlooking the sea.

Location was excellent Staff were extremely helpful, they went out of their way to help us take a ferry back to Naples on our last day on the island when the weather was extremely poor and most of the ferries were getting cancelled. Breakfast was good The restaurant was amazing

The reception staff was not always so welcoming and friendly. Also, the breakfast has a lot of room for improvement.

The view, terraces and the pool are an absolute DREAM ! It was also very nice to have sunbeds at the « private » beach every day and 15% off at the hotel restaurant which was really good. The rooms were comfortable and clean. The restaurant, beach and bar staff were really nice and flexible. Also the hotel is quite isolated in a « sauvage » part of the island with a lot of vegetation which make you feel like you are the only ones in the world. Amazing experience.

Nothing - we loved everything about it.

We came to ischia on honeymoon and had a wonderful time. Da Maria is a beautiful hotel set in an idyllic location. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and we felt very welcome and comfortable throughout our stay. Our room was beautiful with a lovely balcony, and had an amazing view over the castle. We could also see Mount Vesuvius in the distance from our room. The hotel was very clean and comfortable with a beautiful pool area. We spent time on the little beach area most days and made use of the sun beds. We were able to buy drinks, etc from the hotel restaurant and bring them out with us. Breakfast was a buffet with lots of choice, set in a lovely dining room overlooking the castle and the sea. Staff were very attentive and helpful. We ate in the hotel restaurant a few times in the evening. Most dishes are sea-food based and rabbit also featured on the menu - an Ischian speciality. Again staff were lovely and the service was very good. It was very easy to book a taxi-boat from the hotel to take us round to Ischia Ponte, a very short journey of 5 minutes and we made use of this many times throughout our stay.

It was very hot due to the heatwave but the AC could have been better.

This was our third visit to the Da María, we love the location and especially the views. The pool area has recently been updated and is lovely especially when enjoying an Aperol Spritz from the bar.

Supportive staff helped arrange transfers from Ferry. Loved the secluded location but all luxury amenities. Half board Dinner was amazing.

we were warned about the steps but all of us over 70 managed very well but the best point was our luggage was taken up for us. also the ferry service worked very well and Angelo was very helpful.

I think this hotel needs a little updating in places. Also there is no guest service specifically so if you want a cocktail or beer , just go to reception and ask them. also , between the restaurant opening times, there is no food available.

The hotel has its own beach with sun beds which is such a bonus in Ischia. they also have the much desired view of the castle. you have a feeling of isolation there … which is good or bad , depending on what you seek. in any case , it’s very easy to get a taxi boat to the castle area (a town called Ponte) where there are restaurants and bars. If you want a scooter or car , the hotel can arrange it for a good price. You’ll need to park at the top above the hotel as the road ends up there. Be aware that access by land has many steps going up, not a problem for some people , but if you are elderly you should use the taxi boat instead.

The restaurant menu was the same for lunch and dinner/ Everything we had was delicious, but one thing both my husband and I said could make it better is to have a bit more of a varied menu so you don't get tired of eating maybe the same thing for lunch and dinner if you do eat multiple meals at the hotel restaurant like we did. Maybe some lighter/ smaller plates available at lunch like Bruschetta or pizza.

The property was amazing, from our room we had a view of the castle and the water. It as quiet and all the staff were very friendly. The breakfast was good, We really enjoyed our stay. we hope to visit again! I loved that they had a restaurant that you could have lunch and or dinner as well, really convenient, if you wanted to just enjoy the weather and have a relaxing day!
