Quaint hotel with unique decor. Helpful reception staff, with good communication before arrival. Nice breakfast options. Walkable location to train station with luggage, and good location to town centre

The bathroom was extremely small. Almost impossible to use the toilet in our room.

The staff were terrific, the location was close to the train station and easy to get to. The room was clean and the breakfast was good.

I couldn’t figure out the AC but I was only there for 9 hours so it was ok. Would recommend to anyone low maintenance, looking for an easy access place in Lucca that is affordable.

Hotel was great. The heat in Lucca! Was exceptionally hot when we were there end of August. If you're thinking of the francigena- leave until September...

This historic hotel is a lovely place to stay in Lucca, perfectly located and close to all the sites. But it's the staff who really make the hotel special — they are so friendly and couldn't be more helpful.

The staff is amazing and so helpful. This was our third visit to this hotel and while there are certainly lots to choose from the staff especially Fabrizio. We also enjoyed have our coffee or cocktails out in the little patio.

Brilliant location within the city wall with easy access to train station as well as all the inner city wall sites. I arrived before the check in time and my room was ready and they were able to let me check in early with a very friendly receptionist Carlo, who took my bags and showed me to my room in the annex area of the property. The room was easy access, clean, comfortable with good AC. Breakfast was traditional European breakfast with meats, cheese, pastries, juices, cereals, fruit, yoghurts etc but it’s a good little start for the day.

We liked everything about the property.

This is a delightful, small hotel with many interesting features/pictures and artefacts. It also has an interesting musical history as Boccherini lived in the building and Puccini, when very young, played the piano there. All the staff are very warm, welcoming and helpful. The breakfast had an interesting selection of cereals and pastries.

The staff were so helpful and accommodating. One gal told us of GIGI’s restaurant which was a fabulous night out. Carlos was very sweet at check in. .
