Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Beautiful property in a peaceful location but only a short walk from all the sights. The guys that run it were so helpful, friendly and welcoming.

United KingdomIronically it would just be walking back from the City Centre, which we liked to do, there was quite a climb in the final km or so.
It was comfortable and quirky. The host Stefano was incredibly helpful and likeable. The roof terrace gave a great view of Rome. The location enabled options for going out in both upper and lower Trestevare. It was walkable distance to locations such as the Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps.

United StatesI like the suites personnels , Stefano and Fabrizio. Super accommodating, hospitable, and helpful. I like how they have taxi services with fixed price from and to the airport. Very convenient. I like the location. I felt safe, and it is very laid back and chill town and, of course, near Rome. The town itself is lovely to explore. I love that they clean our room every day. The room is very nice. Love it. Highly recommended this Suites.

United KingdomFabulous property with beautiful furniture, full of character and detail. Very friendly hosts (brothers) who run the place and gave us a lot of useful advice about local restaurants and transport. Nice modern bathroom and super-comfortable bed! Our only criticism would be about the breakfast, although based on our previous trips to Italy we know that the locals like their breakfast sweet - but we some little add ons we bought ourselves we truly enjoyed the freshly baked goods every morning.

NorwayAn extraordinary place in a really nice location in between institutes and embassies right above the old centre of Trastevere. The hosts were friendly, attentive and accommodating beyond what one might reasonably expect. Great Italian breakfast, and access to a large roof terrace with absolutely stunning views.

NetherlandsNice old Roman villa in high Trastevere. Good location, quiet but very close to all the bars and restaurants of low Trastevere. You'll get good exercise walking back up the hill. Fabrizio is super helpful & accomodating - giving great recommendations for restaurants and everything else.

Wow, what a property. Our only problem was staying only one night - we wish we had more time here! Nestled in a beautiful, quiet part of Trastevere but only just a few minutes walk to the buzzy area with great bars and restaurants. Stefano was super accommodating from start to finish, helping us with transport, luggage and even gave us an amazing tour of the home. We'll definitely be back when we visit Rome! Thanks so much for looking after us Stefano :)

We enjoyed our stay at Domus Monami so much - everything from the area, the view, the fantastic hosts - superb! We felt very welcome. The vibe of this place is totally different from all other places I´ve stayed in Rome. Would absolutely recommend it and would not hesitate to stay there again (and again and again) It's peaceful, upscale, quiet and safe, but just a few steps from the vibrant life in Trastevere.

South AfricaNot a problem for us, but Domus Monamì Luxury Suites does sit high up a hill in Trastevere, so you need to be fairly fit to walk to and from the accommodation. (This does mean, however, that it's very quiet and leafy, which is a nice respite from Rome's busyness.)
We loved staying at Domus Monamì Luxury Suites. Brothers Stefano and Fabrizio welcomed us warmly, the room was spacious and quiet, and the accommodation is in a lovely part of Rome.

United KingdomThe 'Breakfast in a Box' was not to our taste, it consisted of a sweet sugared croissant, tomato/olive bread, sweet bread rolls, could have been Brioche and a tub of fruit. It varied from day to day. We suggested to Stefano that he cancel our breakfast box as it was being wasted, he did cancel and provided us with bread for toast instead which is what we requested. The villa is at the top of a steep hill but we took an Uber from the restaurant area up to the villa for around 10 Euros.
The apartments were lovely, furnished in traditional Italian furniture. Stefano and Fabrizio are brothers who run the apartments, Stefano explained that the villa used to be the family home, there are a lot of the family heirlooms in the breakfast room, it has a stately home feel to it which we liked. Stefano set up our phones so that we could access the WiFi and gave us a tour of the building, there is a roof terrace with breathtaking views of Rome, as the villa is on a hill you can see a panoramic view of most of Rome. The apartments were very clean and fresh smelling. Any requests we had were sent through WhatsApp to Stefano and he responded straight away. Stefano organised a driver to collect us from the railway station and to take us to the airport when we left, nothing was too much trouble.

BelgiumBear in mind that, as the hotel is located on a hill, you have to go downhill (and then climb up!) in order to reach the lower part of Trastevere where all the action is, and the rest of the city. There is a bus that goes up and down but it doesn't run at night. You can also take a taxi, of course, but it's a bit of a hassle.
The hotel is located in a nice residential neighbourhood in Upper Trastevere, on a hill from which you get a very nice view of Rome. On top of that, the house has a simple rooftop, from which the view is amazing. The owners of this family hotel were very friendly and helpful, we felt welcome.

United StatesBecause the property is at the top of a hill, visitors need to be aware if they choose to walk, there are many steps up and down to where most of the restaurants are located.
The location was in a safe, secure neighborhood. We could walk to the restaurants we wanted to visit. The villa was unique and homelike.
