How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Verified reviewWe recently enjoyed a wonderful two-night stay at Hotel Dolomitenblick in Collalbo, Italy, and couldn’t be happier with our experience. From the moment we arrived, Carmen, the Manager, greeted us with such warmth, friendliness, and genuine hospitality. She was informative, welcoming, and ensured that every detail of our stay went smoothly from check-in to check-out. Our room was beautifully decorated and thoughtfully designed, with a bed that was incredibly comfortable – making for a perfect night’s sleep after exploring the stunning South Tyrol region. The dining experience was truly memorable. Dinner was absolutely delicious, made even better by the spectacular view from our table. Breakfast was equally delightful, with a wide and generous selection of fresh, high-quality options to choose from. At Carmen’s suggestion, we tried the local South Tyrolean specialty, the Hugo cocktail, after dinner – it was refreshing and a real treat. Overall, our stay at Hotel Dolomitenblick was nothing short of fantastic. The combination of welcoming service, comfort, delicious cuisine, and breathtaking views made it truly special. We look forward to returning again one day and highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the Dolomites.

Verified reviewThis is a true gem! Friendly staff, good food and an amazing breakfast. The room with a great mountain view was beautiful and spacious. There's even a lift if stairs are a problem. The road from St. Justine is beautiful and safe. The road from Ranui was terrible and I would never take it again. Google maps is not very reliable in the Dolomites. All in all, we had a truly lovely stay at Hotel Dolomitenblick and I'm sure you would too.

Verified reviewSmall hotel with beautiful views of the Dolomites. Very clean and comfortable room with large balcony and mountain view. Staff were pleasant and helpful although spoke little English. Any English-speakers should attempt to converse in German or Italian. The transport and museum pass that came with the stay is extremely good value and the hotel is well served by public transport (10 minute walk from bus station/train station). Unfortunately, poor weather meant we didn't really have an opportunity to use or explore the grounds.
Aspects of the hotel feel quite old fashioned and basic in some ways, eg there is no digital safe, just a recess in the wall that you lock with a key.

Verified reviewThis place is lovely and you really feel that you are on the doorstep of the Dolomites. They prefer to speak German rather than Italian here and having a bit of the language is helpful. The food was traditional for this part of the country which was interesting. The quirky room they gave us was at the back of the hotel with a view of the car park but there are rooms with the spectacular views that the restaurant enjoys. You can get here on public transport and they give you a card to obtain free travel and access to various museums. Lovely, hard working, and friendly staff. The pool is small.
The parking is tight when it’s busy but there are other places nearby. We couldn’t find much in the way of restaurants close by when we went looking but that may be our failing rather than the place itself.

Verified reviewLovely location, great facilities, we loved the pool, best breakfast we've had at any Hotel. Lovely views, loved our balcony to sit in the evening.
No tea/coffee facilities in our rooms, although you could buy it at the bar downstairs. No aircon but we didn't need it as being in the mountains the air was cooler.

Verified reviewWarm thanks to Carmen, the owner of the hotel, a particularly welcoming and attentive host with her guests. The beautiful Hotel Dolomitenblick ensures a wonderful stay in a beautiful mountain setting. The room was spacious, the balcony with a wonderful view, everything in impeccable cleanliness. Breakfast and dinner are served indoors and on a terrace with a splendid view and consist of very diverse products for all tastes and of a special quality. Special appreciation and thanks to Abdul as well.

Verified reviewWe booked here on a last minute whim based on the potential of a train strike. What an amazing surprise! The service from the two ladies and team was exceptional. The room was complete with a balcony and very comfortable. I would recommend booking dinner as it was great value and good quality. The hotel has a pool and sauna which are brilliant after a walk/hike. Breakfast garden has a spectacular view! We recommend it to all our family now! Hope we come back next summer!

Verified reviewWow. Location. Could see so many of the Dolomite ranges from our balcony. Best view in the mountains. Staff were amazing and friendly but never obtrusive. Charming place: the decor in the room looked 1980's but was so spotless and well maintained it was as if it had just been decorated. The village is quite high and remote, but we were given a free pass onto the narrow gauge railway and cable car, giving access to Bozen/Bolzano.
Absolutely nothing.
